Bugatti delivers the first-ever Centodieci

The Bugatti EB110 is a super sports car which was presented to the world in 1991 to celebrate Ettore Bugatti’s 110th birthday. The EB110 was Bugatti’s take on an Italian supercar and was assembled in Italy.

Coming to the 21st century, Bugatti has taken design cues from the EB110 and merged them with the Chiron to make the Centodieci which in Italian translates to 110. The Centodieci is 20kgs lighter than the Chiron and will be limited to a production run of only ten units globally. Starting price of the car is around USD 9 million.

Bugatti just delivered their first Centodieci to their customer. The first Centodieci delivered to a customer is painted “Bugatti Bleu”. The paint shade is synonymous with Bugatti, the EB110 and the factory that built it. Shortly after its completion, the Campogalliano plant was called “Fabrica Blu” (blue factory) because part of the buildings was painted blue. Bugatti chose this bright blue shade to present the EB110 super sports car. The combination of “Bugatti Bleu” and “EB-110 Silver” for the wheels of the first completed Centodieci was no coincidence: the customer owns a historic EB110 in precisely this colour combination.

When it comes to the interior, Bugatti also took inspiration from its predecessor. The quilted, checkered pattern familiar from the EB110 can be found in the Centodieci on the seats, headliner, door panels, centre console and floor mats.

Equipped with the 8.0-litre W16 engine with 1,600 hp, the Centodieci accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.4 seconds and has a top speed of 380 km/h.
