Kawasaki has unveiled the 2027 KLE650, expanding its middleweight adventure motorcycle range. The new middleweight ADV focuses on offering a balance between long-distance touring and daily riding. The new ADV is offered in two variants: Standard and SE.
What is new about the 2027 Kawasaki KLE650?
The 2027 Kawasaki KLE650 expands the KLE family into the 650cc segment, building on the adventure-focused platform established by the KLE500. For the KLE650, Kawasaki has put major emphasis on highway comfort and long-distance touring while retaining the hardware and riding ergonomics required for off-road use.
The ADV motorcycle combines rally-inspired bodywork with a compact trellis frame, riding on a 21-inch front wheel and a 17-inch rear wheel, paired with a long-travel suspension unit comprising a 43mm inverted KYB front fork and a newly developed rear Uni-Trak shock absorber.
What engine powers the 2027 Kawasaki KLE650?
The new KLE650 uses a 649cc, liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine. The engine makes about 70hp at 8,600rpm and 64Nm of torque at 7,500rpm, paired with a six-speed transmission and an assist-and-slipper clutch.
What electronic features are available on the 2027 Kawasaki KLE650?
The KLE650 receives a dual-channel anti-lock braking system, Kawasaki Traction Control (KTRC) and electronic cruise control as standard. Kawasaki also offers smartphone connectivity through the RIDEOLOGY app.
