The model is Limited to 625 units worldwide; the special edition combines the Classic 650’s retro styling with a unique colour-shifting paint scheme and exclusive anniversary details.
What Is Special About the Hypershift Paint Scheme?
The anniversary edition’s defining feature is its Hypershift paintwork, which changes appearance depending on the viewing angle and lighting. The paint transitions between red, green and gold, giving the motorcycle a distinctive appearance under different conditions.
The paint incorporates brass-inspired tones as its base, referencing the manufacturer’s earliest models. The tank features a gilded 125th-anniversary crest, while special side-panel badging and hand-painted pinstripes add further visual distinction. The motorcycle also features a premium quilted leather seat.
Does the Classic 650 Hypershift Get Mechanical Upgrades?
The Anniversary edition is based on the Classic 650 and does not see any major mechanical changes. It retains the648cc parallel-twin engine used by the standard Classic 650, producing 46.39hp at 7,250 rpm and 52.3Nm of peak torque at 5,650rpm, paired with a six-speed gearbox.
As for the suspension and braking hardware, it continues to incorporate standard 43mm Showa telescopic fork at the front and twin Showa shock absorbers at the rear, offering 120mm and 90mm of wheel travel, respectively. Braking is handled by a 320mm front disc and a 300mm rear disc, both supported by a dual-channel ABS.
What Is the Price of the Royal Enfield Classic 650 Hypershift Edition?
Royal Enfield is limiting the production of the Classic 650 Hypershift 125th Anniversary Edition motorcycles to 625 units worldwide. The allocation is distributed across select regions, and each region is set to receive 125 units.
Pricing differs across international markets. In India, the Classic 650 Hypershift 125th Anniversary Edition is priced at Rs 4.25 lakh and US$8,499 in the United States.
With its limited production run and distinctive styling, the Classic 650 Hypershift has all the characteristics of a collector-oriented motorcycle. With only 625 units planned worldwide, the 125th Anniversary edition offers a degree of exclusivity that is not available with the regular production model.
