HUAWEI MatePad Pro Max is now available in the UAE

• The HUAWEI MatePad Pro Max reaches the UAE on July 3, 2026, priced from AED 4,699 through Huawei's official channels and leading retailers. • At 509g and 4.7mm thick, it is the thinnest and lightest tablet in the 13-inch-plus class, built on Huawei's Cloud Falcon Architecture. • Launch gifts worth AED 1,599 include a HUAWEI M-Pencil, a wireless mouse and a colour-matched keyboard, across both the 256GB and 512GB variants.

The HUAWEI MatePad Pro Max is now available in the UAE, and it resets the bar for what a big-screen tablet can weigh. Huawei fits a 13.2-inch display, PC-level productivity and all-day battery into a body that tips the scales at just 509g and measures a slim 4.7mm. The result is a tablet you can carry all day yet still work on like a laptop.

What makes it so thin and light?

Huawei credits its Cloud Falcon Architecture, which reworks how components stack inside the chassis to free up internal space. That engineering keeps the tablet at 509g and 4.7mm, making it the thinnest and lightest option among 13-inch-plus tablets. Thinness usually comes at the expense of rigidity, so Huawei wraps the frame in an aluminium alloy case that boosts bending resistance by 60 per cent over the previous 13-inch model. You get a device that feels barely there in the hand but holds up to daily travel.

How does the PaperMatte display perform?

The 13.2-inch 3K Flexible OLED PaperMatte display is the centrepiece. A 3.55mm ultra-narrow bezel and a 94 per cent screen-to-body ratio pull your eye straight into the picture with no notch to break the view. Huawei etches the surface at a nano level, which sharpens clarity while cutting glare and reflections, so the screen stays readable in bright light. It also earns the TÜV Rheinland Full Care Display 5.0 certification for eye comfort, which matters if you read or draw for hours.

Can it replace a laptop for work?

For many jobs, yes. The tablet runs PC-level WPS Office, an AI-powered suite for documents, spreadsheets, and slides, plus built-in online collaboration and PDF editing, so you can keep working away from the desk. Creators get the GoPaint app and HUAWEI Notes, the latter using AI to tidy handwriting and solve maths as you write. Add the HUAWEI Glide Keyboard and M-Pencil Pro, and the setup covers typing, sketching, and note-taking on a single screen.

How is the performance and battery life?

Compared with the previous 13-inch generation, the HUAWEI MatePad Pro Max delivers 20 per cent higher overall performance and 30 per cent better heat dissipation, all within a thinner body. A six-speaker crossover system with a quad-driver bass unit fills a room with sound for films and calls. The 10,400 mAh high-silicon anode battery runs up to 14.5 hours on a charge, and the 50 MP ultra-HD rear camera works with a True-to-Color Camera to keep colours accurate in shots and scans.
