What are Meta Glasses?
Meta has introduced its new range of Meta Glasses with EssilorLuxottica. The line builds on the technology behind the brand’s best-selling AI glasses. On top of that, it adds bolder shapes, richer colours, and premium materials. Pricing still starts at USD 299, so the range stays accessible even as the design steps up. Meta has also added a collection shaped by Kylie Jenner, marking her first move into wearable tech.
Which frame styles are available?
To start, the range offers three distinct silhouettes. As a result, they suit different faces and occasions:
- Meta Adventurer: a clean rectangle with a timeless feel, in Standard and Large.
- Meta Fury: a bold frame built to make a statement.
- Meta Glasses by Kylie: a slim oval that echoes Kylie Jenner’s personal style.
What colours and lens options are available?
The palette is broad. It runs from Classic Black and Classic Tortoise to Racing Green, Linen, Merlot, Mahogany, and Sandstone. For lenses, meanwhile, you can pick sun, Transitions®, polarised, or clear, all from EssilorLuxottica. Altogether, the range counts 26 distinct styles, so it suits most looks.

Do they support prescription lenses?
Yes. The frames take prescription lenses, with a total power range of -12 to +2.25 and a Meta.com range of -6 to +2.25. The standout, though, is the new Rx Lens Swap service. With it, customers can fit lenses with their own optician after they buy, rather than at the point of sale. Better still, this does not void the warranty.
What can the glasses do day-to-day?
Meta has tuned both fit and features for everyday wear. To begin, three-way adjustable nose pads, adjustable temple tips, and overextension hinges add ways to personalise comfort. Beyond that, the core feature set runs across the whole portfolio:
- Meta AI on demand: a dedicated action button calls up the assistant or a chosen feature.
- Open-ear audio: clear sound for calls, music, and podcasts while staying aware of your surroundings.
- Multi-mic array: wind noise reduction keeps calls and voice control crisp.
- Hands-free capture: photos and videos without reaching for a phone.
- Privacy controls: clear settings and built-in safeguards for people nearby.
- All-day battery: more than 8 hours of use.
How does Meta AI work on the glasses?
Muse Spark powers Meta AI here. This model is the first from Meta Superintelligence Labs, and Meta built it for these products. Notably, this is the first launch to ship with that version from day one. Meanwhile, the same upgrade is now rolling out to Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta glasses in the US and Canada.
In practice, the assistant does more. It gives sharper answers on everything from sports scores to restaurant picks. On top of that, it reads what you are looking at more accurately. As a result, it helps manage the day, from healthier habits to your calendar, all hands-free.
What new features are coming?
Regular updates keep adding features. For example, this month brings a dynamic photo. It captures several frames and then suggests the best, while still letting you pick your favourite. Next, pedestrian navigation is coming to displayless models, with turn-by-turn directions on foot. Live translation is also growing, adding 14 new languages, including Japanese, Mandarin Chinese, Hindi, and Korean.

How do you charge them?
Every pair ships with a foldable charging case. In turn, it adds up to 40 hours of battery on the move. For the home, there is also the new Meta Glasses Charging Stand. It is sleek and compact. Plus, it works with most Meta AI glasses, so it sits neatly on a nightstand or desk.
Where can you buy Meta Glasses?
Meta Glasses are on sale now. You can buy them at Meta.com, LensCrafters, Sunglass Hut, Best Buy, Amazon, and other select retailers. Alternatively, visit a Meta Lab or check in-store availability on the product page for your chosen style. At launch, Meta sells the range across the US, UK, Canada, France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Ireland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Austria, Belgium, Netherlands, Switzerland, and Australia.
For now, though, the UAE sits outside that launch list, so Meta Glasses do not yet have a confirmed local release date. In the meantime, shoppers here can still explore Meta’s wider AI glasses range. Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta remain available through the Meta Store and select retailers nationwide.
