Range Rover SV Ultra: A High-End SUV With Improved Audio and Redesign

The Range Rover SV Ultra features cutting-edge audio innovations, material upgrades, and hybrid engine options in its luxurious Range Rover SUV lineup.

The Range Rover SV Ultra is a new luxury Range Rover SUV that emphasises innovative in-car audio and interior material design. This vehicle adds more audio features to the Range Rover SV line while offering a variety of engines.

How does the exterior stand out?

For its exterior design, the SV Ultra has a new paint called Titan Silver. This paint contains fine aluminium particles and reflects like metal. This finish ensures that it looks smooth and deep. When the car is exposed to sunlight, its paint appears to be glossy, as though water runs through it.

Other additions to the car’s exterior include Satin Platinum Atlas and Silver Chrome, both used in the grille and sides. The car also gets new 23-inch alloy wheels and inserts, as well as upgraded centre caps. In general, there have been minimal changes to the car’s exterior design.

How has the interior changed?

The SV Ultra’s interior design takes a different approach. It has a two-tone colour scheme comprising Orchid White and Cinder Grey. The material of choice for this SUV is not leather but Ultrafabrics, allowing for intricate laser cuts and perforation patterns on the seats.

The palm veneer finish comes in an open-pore pattern on the dashboard and rear cabin components. Other upgrades include ceramic finishes on the controls, speaker grilles, and seat belts.

Comfort remains a priority, with reclining seats and massages. Recycled textile blend cushions have been added to the back cabin for a better travel experience.

What is the new audio system?

The SV Electrostatic Sound system is a major highlight. It has 21 speakers installed throughout the cabin, including in the headrests and the backs of the seats. In addition to these speakers, bass speakers and various transducers in seats and floors are used.

The difference between an electrostatic speaker and other types is that it uses a thin membrane that is sensitive to audio information. The sound it produces becomes clearer and distortion-free. Another benefit is equal sound experience throughout the cabin rather than just the front seats.

This system is also more efficient since it requires less electricity and material than regular speakers.

How does the sensory technology work?

The SV Ultra uses audio alongside tactile feedback systems. The transducers in the seats and on the floor convert sound into vibrations. This idaea is linked to vibroacoustic therapy, which helps people not only to listen to but also to feel audio sensations.

There are various presets, including those that are associated with comfort or focus modes. This is because each mode changes vibrations and audio outputs accordingly. Such technology is being developed in collaboration with some universities to study its possible impact on comfort and passengers’ reactions.

What are the available powertrain options?

There are two main drivetrain options for the SV Ultra model. First, the P550e plug-in hybrid, which combines a petrol and an electric motor. Second, is the P615 with a V8 engine, providing around 607 BHP. Torque specifications are unknown but should match Range Rover, high-end models.

Also, an all-electric model will be released soon.

Price, availability, and launch information

The Range Rover SV Ultra was unveiled on April 29, 2026, with an anticipated initial release in select markets. The price has yet to be disclosed, but it might retail for more than $200,000 US dollars, depending on the model specification and extras such as the electrostatic sound system.

It will be available alongside the rest of the SV models and will be orderable from authorised dealers and via the Range Rover website. An all-electric version is also anticipated for 2026.
