New 2026 Bajaj Dominar 400 unveiled in India with a 349cc engine, 40.04bhp power, 33.2Nm torque, and updated touring-friendly features.

What is the 2026 Bajaj Dominar 400?

Indian Motorcycle maker Bajaj has introduced the updated 2026 Dominor 400. It is a premium street-tourer from Bajaj, now comes with a refreshed mechanical package with two new visual options to choose from.

What is new in the 2026 model?

The biggest change seen on the 2026 model year Bajaj Dominor 400, is the introduction of a new 349.13cc engine, which replaces the previous 373cc single cylinder.

While the new engine isn’t entirely new its more of a downsized version of the previous engine, bajaj has achieved this by shortening the stroke to 56.1mm while keeping the 89mm bore. Bajaj has done this in the light of the newly introduced tax bracket for post-350cc and sub-350cc motorcycles. The 2026 Dominor 400 thanks to its 349.13cc now sits in the lower tax bracket of the sub-350cc section.

Additionally, the Dominor 400 has shed a few kilos for the 2026 model year standing at 190kg, which may make it more responsive and agile.

How much power does the updated engine make?

The new 349.13cc now produces 40.04bhp at 9,000rpm and 33.2Nm of torque at 7,500rpm, sending power to the rear wheel via a slick 6-speed gearbox. The peak power and rpm are now slightly up compared to the previous setup.

What features does it offer?

The Dominar 400 continues with a touring-friendly layout that includes an upright riding stance and touring-specific hardware.

The 2026 Dominor 400 features USD front forks, a monoshock rear suspension, dual-channel ABS, and disc brakes at both ends, all tuned towards making the motorcycle suitable for highway use.

How is it priced?

The new 2026 Dominar 400 is priced at Rs. 2,03,214 ex-showroom in India with deliveries underway.
