Al-Futtaim Lexus has recently launched the new Lexus IS350 in the UAE, marking the evolution of the compact rear-wheel-drive sports sedan series from Lexus. The Lexus IS series was first launched in 1999, and ever since, it has been positioned as a driver-centric sports sedan from the brand.

The Lexus IS350 is a rear-wheel-drive sports sedan with a front-engine layout. The sedan is powered by a 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine, which churns out 311 BHP and 380 Nm of torque.
For this version, the Electric Power Steering has been modified to incorporate a variable gear rack. This has been done to enhance steering performance at slower speeds, like when turning corners or crossing intersections, while maintaining stability at higher speeds.
The Adaptive Variable Suspension has also been improved to provide better balance in ride and handling performance. This has been done to reduce the impact of the road surface while maintaining stability.
What changes have been made to the exterior design?
The exterior design of the IS350 has been modified to enhance proportions and stance. The front section has been redesigned to emphasise a lower centre of gravity and a wider stance.
For the F SPORT version, exterior features have been added to the IS350. These include a rear spoiler to enhance aerodynamics and 19-inch lightweight alloy wheels.
The exterior colours available for this version are eight in number. Among these, a new colour has been added to the IS350, known as Neutrino Grey. This colour has a metallic light grey finish.
What updates have been made inside the cabin?
The updates to the inside of the cabin are mostly related to improving the interface of the driver with the vehicle. Specifically, the infotainment system, which is located in the centre of the cabin, is now larger, measuring 12.3 inches.
The digital instrument cluster, which is also 12.3 inches, offers better readability of information.
Updates to materials include new “Forged Bamboo” materials, which are integrated into various parts of the dashboard and console area of the cabin. Furthermore, a new colour scheme is available, known as Prominence, which offers additional customisation options.
What safety and technology features are included?
The vehicle is equipped with the latest version of Lexus Safety System +, which includes various driver assistance features such as collision prevention, lane support, and adaptive cruise.
The vehicle also includes an updated multimedia system.
Moreover, the vehicle includes a new feature called Lexus Teammate Advanced Drive, which helps in highway driving by assisting in various driving tasks in specific situations.
