Mercedes-Benz India drives in the all-new V-Class luxury MPV

• Premium Pricing: The all-new V-Class arrives in the Indian market with an introductory price of INR 1.40 crore. • Local Production: Mercedes-Benz will manufacture this luxury MPV at its Chakan plant in Pune to meet growing local demand. • Advanced Comfort: The vehicle features a segment-first ventilated third row and standard AIRMATIC air suspension across all variants.

What is the price of the new V-Class?

Initially, the all-new Mercedes-Benz V-Class costs INR 1.40 crore in India. This price applies specifically to the extra-long wheelbase version, which offers the maximum interior space. Furthermore, interested buyers can secure a booking with a down payment of INR 5 lakh. This competitive pricing strategy follows the brand’s decision to begin local production for this model in India, thereby strengthening its long-term commitment to the market.

What colour options can customers choose?

Regarding the exterior, the luxury MPV comes in five distinct paint finishes to suit different tastes. These choices include Metallic Sodalite Blue, Metallic Rock Crystal White, Metallic Obsidian Black, Metallic High-Tech Silver, and Alpine Grey. In addition to these exterior shades, owners can select from two premium interior upholstery options: Lugano Leather Beige or Lugano Leather Black. These customisable elements allow families and executives to tailor their private mobile suite to their exact preferences.

What are the engine and performance specifications?

Moving on to the powertrain, the V-Class offers two powerful engine options, both paired with a 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission. The petrol variant features a 2.0-litre engine that produces 228 bhp plus a 20 bhp boost from its mild-hybrid system. Alternatively, for those preferring diesel, the 2.0-litre engine delivers a robust 233 bhp. Notably, India is the first market globally to receive the AIRMATIC air suspension as standard on both engine types, ensuring a smooth ride on any road surface.

How does the interior redefine luxury?

Inside the cabin, the layout uses a 6-seat configuration designed for maximum relaxation and privacy. The second row features first-class individual seats with 3-stage ventilation, massage functions, and calf support. Similarly, in a first for this segment, even the third-row seats include ventilation. To enhance the atmosphere, passengers enjoy a Burmester surround sound system with 15 speakers and 64-colour ambient lighting. The ENERGIZING Comfort programme further improves the experience by offering ten wellness modes and nature sounds.

What safety technology protects the passengers?

To ensure total peace of mind, Mercedes-Benz equips the V-Class with a comprehensive safety suite. This includes seven standard airbags, with window airbags stretching from the front to the very back of the cabin. Moreover, the vehicle features Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC and Active Lane Keeping Assist to support the driver during long journeys. Finally, a 360-degree camera and 12 ultrasonic sensors make parking this large vehicle much easier within tight city spaces.

What are the dimensions of the vehicle?

In terms of physical presence, the V-Class is a large vehicle designed for significant cabin space. It measures 5,370 mm in length and has a 3,430 mm wheelbase. The width is 1,928 mm, while the height stands at 1,880 mm. Consequently, these dimensions provide ample legroom and headroom for all six passengers. As a practical touch, electric sliding doors on both sides make entry easy, and a split tailgate makes loading luggage simple even when space is limited.
