Hybrid Power and New Tech: The 2026 Toyota RAV4 Arrives in the UAE

Al-Futtaim Toyota has launched the all-new Toyota RAV4 in the UAE. The new sixth-generation Toyota RAV4 now boasts overhauled looks, a revamped cabin design and tweaked powertrains with more focus on efficiency than before. The Cornea Impression was invited for the launch and here are our first impressions on the new Toyota RAV4 for the UAE market.

What is the price of the new Toyota RAV4 in the UAE?

Toyota will be offering the new RAV4 SUV in eight trim lines for the UAE customers. Prices for the new Toyota RAV4 range between AED 105,900 to AED 152,900 for the top-end trim. Toyota will also be offering the RAV4 with an Adventure trim featuring a revised yet rugged front fascia, a different wheel design and roof rails. The top-end VXR trim will boast a sportier flavour with a sportier wheel design and two-tone exterior paint finish.

What are the engine options available with the new Toyota RAV4 in the UAE?

At launch, Toyota showcased two engine options – a 236hp 2.5-litre hybrid electric system (HEV) and a 169hp 2.0-litre petrol engine. Both engine options offer improved fuel efficiency, with the former boasting a mileage of 24.8kmpl – up from 22.2kmpl and the latter registering 17kmpl compared to 14.9kmpl. The UAE customers will have both, front and all-wheel-drive options available as well. A plug-in hybrid powertrain, launched globally, is set to arrive in the UAE soon.

What are the new features on the new Toyota RAV4?

The new Toyota RAV4 debuts a bunch of firsts for the region as well as the RAV4 nameplate as well, across its six-generation legacy. A 12.9-inch display audio system – a first for Toyota in the UAE, takes centre stage features 4x faster processing and built-in navigation, complemented by a 12.3-inch multi-information display. The screen benefits from integrated CarPlay whereas the center console now gets a smaller gear lever, courtesy of new shift-by-wire transmission. The 2026 model also introduces Intelligent Parking Assist – another first for Toyota UAE.

The 2026 RAV4 will be the first Toyota to come equipped with Toyota Safety Sense 4. This comprises a host of safety features such as Lane Trace Assist, Pre-Collision System, Adaptive Cruise Control and Blind Spot Monitoring with the addition of Road Sign Assist functionality to the UAE market for the first time.
