Parmigiani Fleurier introduces beautiful new versions of the Tonda

The Tonda PF Micro-Rotor Stainless Steel and Rose Gold get a new Agave Blue dial.

What is the Parmigiani Fleurier Tonda PF Micro-Rotor Stainless Steel and Rose Gold with new Agave Blue Dial?

It is the brand’s time-only integrated bracelet watch in Stainless Steel and Rose Gold presented with a new Agave Blue dial.

“Agave Blue is a tone that resists immediacy. Situated between mineral blue, vegetal green and soft grey, it is drawn from nature and refined through observation rather than effect. Responsive to light and movement, the colour reveals subtle shifts throughout the day, never static, never decorative. Like a carefully chosen fabric or a resolved interior palette, it reveals its depth gradually, rewarding attention over time. At Parmigiani Fleurier, colour is treated as a material layered, calibrated and precise. Agave Blue becomes part of a broader chromatic language, patiently developed, where each shade reinforces the collection’s identity.”

What are both models’ dial features?

Image: Stainless Steel version (pictured). Rose Gold version (Header image). On the Stainless Steel version, although the case and bracelet are crafted from stainless steel, the hands and hour-markers are made from 18K gold and the knurled bezel from platinum 950, embodying the brand’s attention to detail and exclusivity. Notice the polishing and satin-finishing on the bracelet.

Both models feature a Blue Agave dial with the brand’s Grain d’Orge hand-guilloché finish.

The Stainless Steel version features skeletonised delta-shaped hands and applied hour-markers made from rhodium-plated 18K gold. The Rose Gold version features skeletonised delta-shaped hands and applied hour-markers made from rhodium-plated 18K rose gold.

“Part of the TONDA PF’s appeal lies in its immediate legibility to the trained eye. The hand-guilloché dial, engraved with the signature Grain d’Orge motif, interacts delicately with light. The finely knurled bezel provides a tactile counterpoint, while applied indices and the discreet PF medallion on the crown complete a coherent visual grammar. These elements are not decorative signatures, but markers of identity; quietly distinctive, never ostentatious.”

What are both models case and bracelet features?

Image: Whether in Rose Gold or Stainless Steel, an integrated bracelet watch with a thickness of only 7.8 mm with these details is true craftsmanship. Notice the brand’s logo on the crown.

The Stainless Steel version’s case and bracelet is made from polished and satin-finished stainless steel. Its knurled bezel is made from 950 platinum. The Rose Gold version’s case and bracelet is made from polished and satin-finished 18K rose gold. Its knurled bezel is made from 18K rose gold. Both cases measure 40 mm (diameter) * 7.8 mm (thickness). Dial side features an ARunic anti-reflective sapphire crystal, and the caseback a sapphire crystal. Water resistant up to 100 metres. Both versions’ bracelets feature a folding clasp made from their respective metals.

“The Agave Blue dial finds two distinct material expressions. In stainless steel, the watch conveys clarity and restraint, emphasising its architectural precision and contemporary purity. In rose gold, warmth and tactility are introduced, enriching the watch’s presence while preserving its essential balance. The distinction is not one of hierarchy, but of sensibility; two temperaments articulated through material, united by the same design discipline.”

Does its automatic movement feature a micro-rotor?

Image: A view I would never get tired of. The platinum 950 micro-rotor features a Grain d’Orge guilloché finish. The balance wheel appears to be variable-inertia or free-sprung. The luxurious beat rate of 3 Hz suits the character of the watch.

Yes, just as their names imply. They are powered by PF703, a manufacture automatic movement that drives the hours and minutes. It measures 30.6 mm or 13 ¼ lignes (diameter) * 3.07 mm (thickness), comprises of 166 parts, 29 jewels, beats at a luxurious rate of 3 Hz or 21,600 vph, and has a power reserve of 48 hours. Movement finishing includes Côtes de Genève, Perlage, and bevelled bridges.

What do we think?

Image: In Stainless Steel it makes a compelling case for a versatile everyday watch (not including sports off course) with its (relatively) accessible CHF 23,700 price.

Parmigiani Fleurier’s Tonda PF Micro-Rotor is a gem in the world of classic dress watches, one that straddles simplicity, elegance and versatility. Its dial, case, bezel, bracelet, and movement are packed with an abundance of haute horology details. Yet it is not a loud watch, but rather an IYKYN (if you know you know) kind of watch. The new Agave Blue dial in both the Stainless Steel and Rose Gold versions enhance the Tonda PF Micro-Rotor lineup in the brand’s catalogue.
