Toyota Revives The Iconic Century As A Luxury Sub-Brand At Japan Mobility Show 2025

The recently concluded 2025 Japan Mobility Show saw Toyota Motor Co. showcase a host of global concept unveils that tease the brand’s future outlook. Toyota’s global unveils at the 2025 Japan Mobility Show comprised a slew of ultra-luxury concepts under the legendary Century brand, the all-new Corolla concept along with the dynamic new Land Cruiser FJ. Toyota’s new Century sub-brand

The Century luxury sedan has been one of not just Toyota but Japan’s most iconic and revered nameplates in the luxury car segment. Capitalising on the same, Toyota has introduced Century as a luxury-focussed sub-brand with three stunning concept iterations showcased at the 2025 Japan Mobility Show. 

A chauffeur-focused flagship model with a contemporary reinterpretation of the Century’s iconic presence reflected the Century nameplate’s true essence. The second Century concept flaunted a performance-enhanced GRMN specification featuring subtle motorsport cues such as Nishijin carbon fibre followed by a bold design study rounding up as the third concept, featuring a matte black finish with a striking Flare Orange interior to exhibit a modern take on Japanese luxury.

Toyota’s new Corolla Concept

The Corolla name needs no introduction as it has been one of the world’s highest selling sedans ever. At the 2025 Japan Mobility Show, Toyota introduced an all-new Corolla Concept, which embodies a user-centric approach to future mobility. Built around flexibility and modular design that adapts seamlessly to a wide spectrum of lifestyles, the new Corolla with its striking new futuristic design appears ready to appeal to a multitude of buyers.

A new Land Cruiser FJ

A fresh, expressive interpretation of Toyota’s off-road DNA, the new Toyota Land Cruiser FJ is designed with the theme of “Freedom & Joy”. Toyota claims the new Land Cruiser FJ Concept will aid the brand introduce Land Cruiser capability to a younger, more lifestyle-oriented audience. The new Land Cruiser FJ retains its upright stance and iconic silhouette while blending authentic off-road credentials with a playful character.

Future of Personal and Commercial Mobility

At the 2025 Japan Mobility Show, Toyota also highlighted an ambitious vision for the future of commercial and personal mobility. For the former, Kago-Bo, a next-generation taxi concept created to enhance comfort and freedom of movement for all passengers was displayed whereas an electric, foldable mobility solution which offers a new way to navigate urban landscapes called the Land Hopper represented the latter among many other concepts.
