EssilorLuxottica and Meta have introduced Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2, their newest AI-powered eyewear. Designed for all-day use, these glasses offer up to 8 hours of battery life, twice as long as the previous model, and feature quick charging, which reaches 50 per cent in just 20 minutes.
Sharper Vision, Smoother Capture
The Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2 features an upgraded 12MP ultra-wide camera that now records in 3K Ultra HD at 60 frames per second, along with new modes such as hyperlapse and slow motion. These allow for hands-free, cinematic-style recording. The makers claim that the audio quality is better with a five-mic setup and open-ear speakers, and a future software update will add Conversation Focus to improve voice clarity.
Style Meets Intelligence
The Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2 collection features classic and modern shapes, including Wayfarer, Skyler, and Headliner, all designed for comfort and available with Transitions lenses that adapt to changing light conditions. This fall, three new colourways — Shiny Cosmic Blue, Mystic Violet, and Asteroid Grey — bring in seasonal flair. A limited-edition Matte Transparent Wayfarer with Ruby lenses offers a premium option for style-conscious users.
Global Reach and Availability
The Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2 is now available in Switzerland and the Netherlands, with Brazil set to join later this year. Prices in the UAE start at AED 1,830, with the limited-edition model priced at AED 2,440. The glasses are sold through Ray-Ban’s and Meta’s official websites, as well as select retail partners across North America, Europe, Australia, and the Middle East.
