Porsche Approved Programme Goes Live In India

It’s for those who have a Porsche that’s out of warranty.

Are you the owner of a Porsche that’s less than six years old and hasn’t covered 200,000km in its life? Well, good news! You now avail benefits of what’s simply called the Porsche Approved programme. Introduced for the first time in India, it offers a comprehensive warranty on pre-owned cars for a minimum of 12 months. In addition, the package has 24-hour roadside service (Porsche Assistance). Clearly, Porsche Approved reinstates the same peace of mind you had when your car was covered under the standard warranty.

Of course, there are a few terms and conditions. Porsche will conduct some tests before providing the benefits of the newly-introduced after-sales service. Manolito Vujicic, who’s the brand director of Porsche India, says:

Our Porsche Approved programme offers a high level of quality by passing a 111-point check on every pre-owned Porsche. This means that every vehicle should meet the standard of its original condition and thus enhances the value of any model carrying the ‘Approved’ seal. With this seal we certify that only genuine Porsche parts have been used and installed by qualified Porsche technicians.

Once given the go-ahead, the 12-month warranty will cover all kinds of repairs and labour charges. However, like in the standard warranty, consumables and wear-and-tear components such as wiper blades, tyres, fluids and brake pads aren’t covered. Whether the car is eligible for a more extended Porsche Approved cover is based entirely on what the odometer and life-meter say. And only after the vehicle passes the rigorous pre-inspection will the owner know the cost to enrol under Porsche Approved programme.

Besides peace of mind, there’s another big plus that the new service offers. And that is better resale value. On the other hand, those who want to purchase a pre-owned Porsche can simply search for ‘Approved’ models and start shortlisting. That way, they’d know the vehicle they finalise will have genuine Porsche parts inside and out.

Man, I cannot get over that photograph of the Panamera taken on the sea link. I hope they closed it down before doing that.

Took this photograph from Porsche’s media website. So, I’m guessing the sea link was shut for a few moments for this.
