Audi India Launches Bold Edition Of Q3 And Q3 Sportback

Conceived to add a notch of sportiness into the mix, the derivative will be available for a limited time.

The Q3 and its coupe-ish sibling, the Q3 Sportback, are presently the bestselling duo for Audi India. Both are the entry point for those who want an SUV from the Audi-verse. Well, those still planning to check it out now have a Bold Edition derivative, available in both Q3 body styles, to check out. The Q3 Bold Edition has been priced at INR 54.65 lakh, whereas the Q3 Sportback Bold Edition costs INR 55.71 lakh. Simple math reveals the latter demands an extra INR 1.06 lakh. They cost just shy of INR 1.50 lakh more than their respective Technology variants.

So, what do you get for the premium? To begin with, the Bold Edition version ropes in the Black styling package. As the name suggests, the ORVM caps, roof rails, Audi logos at the front and rear, and window surrounds go black. Even the grille boasts a glossy black finish.

The Audi Q3 Bold Edition and the Q3 Sportback Bold Edition also feature the S-line exterior package and progressive steering. The rest of the kit has been lifted from the Technology derivative. The list includes a panoramic glass sunroof, two-zone automatic climate control, Parking Aid Plus with a rear-view camera, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10-speaker sound system and ambient lighting.

Mechanically, there are no changes to report. The Bold Edition of the Q3 and Q3 Sportback continue with the same 2.0-litre TFSI motor that outputs 190hp/320Nm, enough for a 0-100kmph sprint time of 7.3 seconds. The oomph is transmitted to the road via Audi’s quattro all-wheel-drive system.

The Q3 and the Q3 Sportback are available in five colours. The common ones are Glacier White, Mythos Black and Navarra Blue. The Q3 can also be had in Nano Grey and Pulse Orange. Similarly, the two exclusive colours for the Q3 Sportback are Progressive Red and Daytona Grey. The Bold Edition derivatives are up for grabs only for a limited period.
