LUXURY LAND ROVER DEFENDER SUV GETS MORE CHOICES AND A NEW DIESEL MOTOR

New additions include a red-painted Sedona Edition, a variety of packs including a captain’s chair option, and a more powerful D350 engine

The Land Rover Defender SUV has received a suite of enhancements across the range alongside the introduction of a new 110 Sedona Edition, a Signature Pack, different specification levels and even a Captain’s Chair Pack, to help the discerning customers pick the right Defender for themselves.

New 110 Sedona Edition: Deep red paint, black wheels and bonnet decals with Sedona’s topography

The natural beauty of Sedona, Arizona, provides the inspiration for the colour of the new 110 Sedona Edition. The colour is an earthy, deep red hue of its iron-rich sandstone landforms, which is complemented by an exclusive Extended Black Pack with Narvik Black Defender script, front grille, skid plates, 20-inch gloss black alloy wheels and a body-coloured spare wheel cover. Also available is the optional bonnet decal depicts Sedona’s topography and Sedona Red exterior side-mounted gear. Based on the high specification of Defender X-Dynamic HSE, the interior is available with Ebony Windsor Leather and Kvadrat seats for the first time.

Signature Pack: 14-way electric seats and Windsor leather

This new pack – available across all body designs – combines comprehensive upgrades and is standard on Defender X and V8 specifications, and optional for Defender X-Dynamic HSE. It includes 14-way electric memory front seats and second row, both with climate seats and new winged headrests on Defender 110 and 130 models. Upholstery upgrades include Windsor Leather and Kvadrat seats, available in Ebony or Caraway/Ebony and new crafted-in Japan Ultrafabrics available in Light Cloud/Lunar colourway. Defender’s distinctive exposed cross car beam is metallic grey with a powder coat finish, while moulded trim accents are finished in Satin Black with subtle chrome interior accents. It also adds a tactile Suedecloth headlining in Light Cloud or Ebony, depending on the seating choice.

Various other packs: From off-road equipment to family-centric features

Defender clients now have a choice of X-Dynamic HSE, X and V8 specifications across 90, 110 and 130 body styles and a simplified range optional packs are also available like the Off-Road Packs with Electronic, all-terrain tyres and Electronic Air Suspension etc. For those like to haul stuff on trailers there’s the Towing Pack (90 and 110) with Advanced Tow Assist, electronically deployable tow bar or tow hitch receiver etc.

There’s also a pack that fits second-row Captain Chairs with winged headrests to the Defender 130 model like those in the front, for even greater comfort on longer journeys. It also makes room for an aisle that giving gracious walkthrough access to the third row. A new Matte Protective Film provides a new exterior finish while providing an added layer of protection.

More diesel power: 700 Nm from a new D350 motor

The newly introduced D350 diesel engine replaces the prior D300 engine globally. With 345 hp (258 kW) and 700 Nm, an increase of 50 hp and 50 Nm respectively, the defender gets better overtaking and towing abilities.
