Audi India Opens Bookings For Q8 e-tron

It is up for grabs in two 55 derivatives – SUV and Sportback.

The Indian arm of the German carmaker Audi has announced that it is now accepting bookings for the Q8 e-tron. The high-riding electric vehicle (EV) is up for grabs in two 55 e-tron variants – SUV and Sportback. And the minimum booking amount for either of them is INR 5 lakh. Audi India has set the price announcement date as August 18, 2023.

In 55 e-tron spec, both Q8 derivatives pack the same powertrain. Two electric motors, jointly producing 402hp/664Nm, are backed by a 114kWh battery. With a usable capacity of 106kWh, the battery offers a range of up to 582km and 600km for the SUV and Sportback variants, respectively. By default, both Q8 e-tron variants have an 11kW charger (a 22kW charger is optional). However, the quickest way to replenish the battery is via a 170kW DC charger. That can charge the battery from 10 to 80 per cent in 30 minutes.

Regarding performance figures, both Q8 e-tron variants mentioned above can hit 100kmph from a standstill in 5.6 seconds and clock 200kmph at full stretch. Considering that they weigh over 2.5 tonnes unladen, those numbers aren’t shabby. The list of creature comforts includes Digital Matrix LED lights, a Bang & Olufsen sound system, 4-zone automatic climate control, Park Assist with a 360-degree camera and connected-car tech via the ‘myAudiConnect’ application.

As far as colour options are concerned, there are nine to choose from for the exterior, including Mythos Black, Plasma Blue, and Soneira Red. Audi India has also lined up three interior themes – Okapi Brown, Pearl Beige and Black.
