The Bentley Continental GT and Flying Spur get a luxury treatment with the Azure trim

The British cars gain specific details and expand their customisation catalogue

Bentley’s Continental GT and Flying Spur are about to receive their mid-career facelift, which will include both styling and technical changes. While waiting for this update, the two models are now getting a new, very high-end trim in their catalogue. This new version, named Azure, refers to the Bentley Azure, an ultra-luxury convertible based on the Arnage and produced between 1995 and 2010. The equipment level has been increased significantly and the range of customisation options has been expanded.

On the outside, the coupe and sedan are adorned with distinctive details such as a new front grille with very fine chrome slats set against a gloss black honeycomb mesh. The effect is both sporty and elegant and is further enhanced by the 22-inch diamond-cut wheels. The paint scheme of the Continental GT and Flying Spur includes a new brilliant blue colour. Of course, customers can always order a bespoke colour from Mulliner.

Bright and customisable interior

On board, the Azure versions are characterized by a bright interior with beige leather upholstery and wood inserts and blue leather trim for the dashboard. The top of the backrests and the door panels are finished in beautiful quilted leather, while the centre console is finished in brushed aluminium around the gear lever. Here again, other customisation options are of course available on request to the Mulliner department.

Let’s finish with a detail that is only available in the Azure version. The woolen floor mats can be painted in the colour required by the customer. This is certainly not new. What is truly different is that all floor mats are made from recycled materials. Bentley confirms that the quality of these new, more environmentally friendly mats is in no way impaired compared to the old floor mats. As a reminder, the Bentley Continental GT and Flying Spur will be facelifted next year.
