Hongqi Ousado Launched In The UAE
The saloon is available in two variants – Luxury and Flagship.
It was early February 2023 when Hongqi officially entered the United Arab Emirates with its exclusive distributor Altawkilat. Only a few days after the announcement, the Chinese brand launched its first model. It’s called Ousado, a luxury sedan in Honqgi’s global lineup that slots between the H5 and H9 saloons. There are two variants to choose from – Luxury and Flagship. While the former comes with a price tag of AED 109,000, the latter demands AED 115,900.
The Hongqi Ousado is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-litre engine that produces 223hp/340Nm. Coupled with it is an 8-speed automatic transmission that routes the oomph to the front wheels. With that powertrain, the Ousado can hit 100kmph from a standstill in 7.8 seconds. That’s not bad for a saloon loaded with features and measures just shy of five metres in length.
The standard features list includes auto headlamps, an idle stop-start system, powered and ventilated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, rain-sensing wipers, auto-dimming IRVM, a panoramic sunroof, multiple drive modes and adaptive cruise control. The Flagship variant justifies the price difference by offering additional equipment. The list includes wireless mobile charging, an around-view monitor, a digital instrument cluster, a head-up display, a massage function for the driver’s seat, automatic headlamp levelling and a mightier sound system (12 speakers vs 8 in the Luxury variant).
Regarding the list of safety features and assistance systems, it is identical for both variants. It includes an electronic parking brake, traction control, a bunch of airbags, front and rear parking sensors, Lane Departure Warning, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Lane Change Assist, Driver Fatigue Monitoring, Hill Start Assist and Blind Spot Detection.
The Hongqi Ousado is available in five colours – Charming Night Black, Ivory White, Quantum Silver Gray, Rose Red and Aurora Blue. Similarly, there are four colour options for the interior theme. They are Graphite Black, Garnet Red with Graphite Black, Soft Brown with Graphite Black and Ivory White with Rose Gray.
Inside and out, the Hongqi Ousado is a good-looking car. The question is – would you consider one over the competition?
