Mercedes-Maybach S-Class Haute Voiture exhibits style like no other
This is a limited edition car with interiors inspired by the fashion culture
In May earlier this year, Mercedes Benz showcased a concept car inspired by the fashion industry, the Concept Mercedes-Maybach Haute Voiture. It was devised on the principle of a limited high-fashion collection featuring the most exquisite materials finished in a colour scheme reminiscent of the haute couture world. And now, the luxury carmaker has materialised it into production to unveil the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class Haute Voiture.
Mercedes-Maybach unveiled the production-spec S-Class Haute Voiture in Dubai following a curated fashion show by local couture Atelier Zuhra by Omani designer Rayan Al Sulaimani. Limited to 150 units worldwide, Mercedes claims the S-Class Haute Voiture is a drivable art piece. From the exterior, the exclusive two-tone paint finish combining the metallic nautical blue on top with a light shimmering rose tone in the lower section certainly substantiates the firm’s claimed description. The matching nautical blue metallic rims further add to the fashionista appeal of this ulta-luxury barge.
Animated Mercedes-Benz logos illuminate the front and rear entry areas upon door opening, extending the uniqueness of the S-Class Haute Voiture beyond the paint finish. Though extensive use of deep-sea blue and rose gold tones, along with the fitment of fashion-inspired bouclé fabric inside the cabin, aligns aptly with the exterior. Intricate detailing on the cushions and door panels adoring crystal white leather further offer the sense of high exclusivity and Haute Couture. Even the floormats get made of linen and mohair.
The style mania continues with the MBUX infotainment system. A magnolia blossom and sparkling particle graphics get overlaid on the driver profile settings of the infotainment system. Up to twelve avatars have also been embedded, complete with elegant dressing and fine accessories. Mechanically, the car is based on the S680 model, entailing a 621hp twin-turbo 6.0-liter V12 does duty under the hood.
An acquisition of Mercedes-Maybach S-Class Haute Voiture also gets you a bag collection accompanying the car. Available in different styles and sizes in a limited run, one can also avail these from early 2023 at Maybach Icons of Luxury physical and online stores.
