The XUV300 Now Packs A Mightier Punch

The Mahindra XUV300 has been on sale in India for well over three years. And in that period, a lot has changed in the sub-4 metre space. Besides new players entering, the established names have either seen a generation change or a thorough overhaul. Time then for Mahindra’s contender to fight back! Meet the XUV300 TurboSport – the most powerful sub-compact SUV in India. The new derivative in W6, W8 and W8 (O) trim lines. And here are the prices:
Powering the XUV300 TurboSport is a punchier version of the 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine coupled with the 6-speed manual transmission. It offers 130hp/230Nm, 20hp/30Nm more than in the standard XUV300 petrol range. Injected into the mix is an over-boost functionality which, for a brief period, takes the torque up to 250Nm. As a result, the Mahindra XUV300 TurboSport can hit 60kmph from a standstill in 5 seconds.
The new derivative isn’t only about the extra oomph. It also has bespoke styling elements, making it stand out from the rest of the range. These include red accents on the black grille, black ORVM caps, an all-black interior with leatherette upholstery, pedals with chrome finish and new dual-tone colours. You can have the XUV300 TurboSport in Blazing Bronze with a black roof, Napoli Black with a white roof and Pearl White with a black roof. If you want a monotone finish, existing colours such as Pearl White and Napoli Black are available.
Features? The XUV300 TurboSport hasn’t missed any. The list includes dual-zone automatic climate control, front and rear parking sensors, a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, connected-car tech, an electric sunroof, cruise control and auto-dimming IRVM. Other gizmos, such as rain-sensing wipers, projector headlamps, all four disc brakes, tyre pressure monitoring system and Hill Start Assist, are also on offer.
Test drives, bookings and deliveries for the XUV300 TurboSport will commence on October 10, 2022. The new derivative takes the game to rivals such as the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet and Tata Nexon.
