Land Rover Creates Defender 75th Limited Edition

And the new treatment is available in both 90 and 110 forms.

Admit it. The headline is confusing. I, for once, thought Land Rover has created a 75th Limited Edition of the Defender. Did you? What it actually is, is a celebratory version. This year marks the 75th anniversary of Land Rover, and the Defender 75th Limited Edition pays homage to its maker. The new treatment is available on HSE versions of the 90 and the 110 derivatives.

Uniqueness starts with an exclusive paint, which Land Rover calls Grasmere Green. The 20-inch wheels don the same shade with matching centre caps. Rounding off the exterior changes are Ceres Silver bumpers, privacy glass and a ‘75 Years’ graphic. Indoors, the SUV sports the same Grasmere Green finish on its Cross Car Beam with laser-etched detailing. Also, body colour highlights are on the door panels. Coupled with them are Resist Ebony seats, with the gear selector draped in a piece of robust fabric.

With the HSE trim level as the starting point, the Defender 75th Limited Edition is extremely well catered for creature comforts. But Land Rover has added more. Now the features list includes a 3D surround camera, configurable terrain response, a Meridian Sound System, Matrix LED headlights, an 11.4-inch Pivi Pro infotainment system, a head-up display, and a wireless device charger.

The Land Rover Defender 75th Limited Edition come with a folding fabric roof or the option of a sliding panoramic roof. The SUV also packs 14-way powered and heated front seats with memory function, a heated steering wheel and three-zone automatic climate control. In the options list are accessories like all-season tyres and an electrically deployable tow bar.

Under the bonnet, you can have the plug-in hybrid solution (P400e) on the 110 models. Alternatively, the P400 and D300 powertrains (both with mild-hybrid systems) are also available as options. None of them has been altered in any way, hence offering the same performance as they do in the rest of the range.

Prices for the Land Rover Defender 75th Limited Edition start at GBP 85,995 for the 90, and GBP 89,995 for the 110. If you like what you see, get configuring!

Alongside the Defender 75th Limited Edition, Land Rover has also unveiled a range of lifestyle goods. That includes a watch with two straps, a backpack and clothing with ’75 Years’ graphics. And yes, the same green shade has been used wherever possible.
