The countdown is officially on. With just five days to go, preparations for the 2025 Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix have accelerated into top gear, setting the stage for what is expected to be the biggest and most spectacular race weekend in the event’s history.
This year, Yas Island is preparing not only for record-breaking crowds, but for a potential three-way championship showdown in Abu Dhabi. All signs point to the title being settled under the lights of Yas Marina Circuit.
A Global Sporting Spectacle
The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix has grown into one of the most significant global events on the sporting calendar, and early indicators show that 2025 will surpass last year’s record-breaking attendance of 192,000 spectators. Fans from over 105 countries are set to descend on Yas Island, underlining the UAE’s position as a world-leading destination for motorsport, entertainment and lifestyle experiences.
Across the island, activity is in full flow. More than 40,000 personnel — including technical crews, event planners, engineers, hospitality teams, and volunteers — are preparing the 5.28km Yas Marina Circuit, grandstands, fan zones and Etihad Park. After a year of meticulous planning, the finishing touches are being made to deliver the region’s mega-weekend of sport and entertainment.
One Of The Biggest Entertainment Line-Up in Abu Dhabi GP History
This year’s edition welcomes the most ambitious entertainment programme ever staged at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Eight global music icons will perform as part of the Yasalam programme presented by e&.
Benson Boone, Post Malone, Elyanna, Metallica and Katy Perry headline the Emirates NBD After-Race Concerts, while the Official After-Parties extend the excitement with shows from Calvin Harris, Idris Elba, and Keinemusik.
From concerts and celebrity appearances to exclusive yacht parties, beach events, brunches and nightlife, the Grand Prix weekend promises four days of non-stop entertainment that rivals the world’s greatest cultural and sporting festivals.
A Milestone Year for Sustainability
The 2025 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix marks a significant leap forward in sustainability, aligning with Yas Marina Circuit’s commitment to reduce Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 50% by 2030 and deliver events powered entirely by renewable energy by 2035.
Single-use plastic bottles and cups are eliminated and replaced with sustainable alternatives across all points of sale at the Yas Marina Circuit and Etihad Park. Water will be available at free public water stations and from canned water from Ma Hawa.
In addition, all F&B vendors are switching to canned beverages, paper cups, and ‘Again Please’ reusable cups.
Building on the solar car park launched in 2024, which already covers 30% of energy needs, the 2025 Grand Prix triples temporary solar power, increases battery storage sixfold, and runs all temporary generators on 100% biofuel.
A Fitting Finale Before Formula 1’s New Era
With a championship showdown in sight, record global attendance, and a world-class entertainment ecosystem, the 2025 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix is poised to deliver its most thrilling edition yet. As Formula 1 prepares to enter a new regulatory era in 2026, this year’s season finale at Yas Marina Circuit will be remembered as a landmark moment both on and off the track.
Whether you are here for the on-track drama, the headline concerts, or the electric atmosphere across Yas Island, Abu Dhabi is ready to host an unforgettable Grand Prix weekend.
