ZEEKR, the premium Chinese electric vehicle brand distributed by AW Rostamani Group in the UAE, is the official automotive partner of the Mubadala Abu Dhabi Open. This prestigious WTA 500 tournament is held under the patronage of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, and the partnership is meant to reflect the synergy between world-class athletes and ZEEKR’s high-performance premium electric vehicles.
The Mubadala Abu Dhabi Open, which is currently under way, commenced on 1 February 2025 and will go on till 8 February 2025. It will showcase 70 top-ranked female tennis players, including those competing in both singles and doubles matches at the International Tennis Centre in Zayed Sports City. The tournament features an impressive lineup, including seven of the world’s top 20 players. Defending champion Elena Rybakina, currently ranked sixth, leads the field alongside world number nine Daria Kasatkina. Olympic Gold Medalist Belinda Bencic of Switzerland returns after maternity leave, while Tunisian star Ons Jabeur makes her comeback following a shoulder injury. The competitive roster also includes former world number two Paula Badosa, Brazilian sensation Beatriz Haddad Maia, world number eight Emma Navarro, and rising talents Jelena Ostapenko and Diana Shnaider.
As part of this landmark partnership, players are being chauffeured in ZEEKR’s premium electric vehicles. ZEEKR 001 and ZEEKR X will also be on display for tournament attendees, who will have exclusive access to them through special activation zones and curated experiences within the expanded Tennis Village, the largest in the tournament’s history.
