Yay! Yet another AP Royal Oak no one can buy

It's beautiful, though

On today’s episode of “Watches That Everyone Wants But No One Can Buy”, we introduce the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Music Editions.

I’m not sure who thought of this but this is genius. This watch is guaranteed to sell like hot cakes, partly because it’s an AP and also because people go crazy over every and any watch with a rainbow theme these days.

There are five different pieces available (37 mm and 43 mm) with Tapisserie dials featuring gem-set coloured gemstones, designed to look like mixing console faders. Each watch is sold with four interchangeable mosaic-pattern rubber straps.

Two models are made from titanium, available in 37mm or 43mm, and two are made from 18k white gold, 37mm or 43mm, and then lastly you have a 43 mm black ceramic model, limited to 250 pieces.

Both the 37mm model and the 43mm model, regardless of the material they’ve made from, are powered by brand-new in-house movements with 60- and 70-hour reserve respectively.

So how much? Well, in theory, prices start at around $32,000. In practice, we all know how these things go. They’re probably going to be impossible to find at retail price and will be trading at a premium in the pre-owned market.
