Vyntage Horology, the UAE based independent luxury watch brand, has unveiled the Monograph Blue and Purity Mosaic. They are dial updates to the Monograph – a mono pusher chronograph, and Purity – an hours-minutes-small seconds watch. Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons founded Vyntage Horology.

Monograph Blue
Functions are central hours and minutes, small seconds at 9 o’clock subdial, 30-minute counter at 3 o’clock subdial, and central 60-seconds chronograph counter. Stop seconds for accurate time setting. Both the 30-minute counter at 3 o’clock and 60-seconds central chronograph are activated by the mono-pusher at 2 o’clock.
The grained dial features a smoked black to blue pattern. Blue subdials. Hand applied Hindi numeral hour-markers are rhodium colour. Hands are silver colour. Hour and minute hands feature Super-LumiNova C1X1 blue light.
Powered by a Swiss Made manual winding chronograph movement which drives the hours, minutes, small seconds, 30-minute counter, 60-seconds central chronograph and stop seconds. Chronograph is cam-actuated by the mono-pusher at 2 o’clock. Diameter: 30.40 mm. Height: 7.00 mm. Jewels: 20. Frequency: 28,800 vph or 4 Hz. Power reserve: 48 hours. Movement features a Incabloc shock protection device. Movement finishing includes Geneva stripes and circular graining.
Case is made from grade 5 titanium. Diameter: 40 mm. Case thickness: 13.50 mm (not including crystals on both sides) and 14.20 mm (including crystals on both sides). Dial side features a curved sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating inside. Caseback features a flat sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating inside. Polished and circular brushed bezel. Polished onion shaped crown at 3 o’clock. Water resistant up to 50 metres or 5 ATM.
Watch comes with a blue gradient calf skin leather strap with blue aquatic lining. It is fitted to a buckle made from brushed and polished stainless steel 904L – 18 mm, with “VYNTAGE” engraving. An additional black matt rubber strap is provided, fitted to a similar buckle. An easy release spring bar enables the wearer to change the strap.
Purity Mosaic
Functions are hours and minutes, and small seconds between 7 and 8 o’clock.
It features a “Pinctada Maxima mother-of-pearl dial with four tones of blue, a first-of-its-kind mosaic-style composition that reflects light with mesmerising depth. Each dial is unique, ensuring that no two pieces are alike.” The four shades of mother-of-pearl are light blue, medium blue 1, medium blue 2, and dark blue. Hand applied hour-markers are silver colour. Hands are silver colour. Hour and minute hands feature Super-LumiNova C1X1 blue light.
Powered by a Swiss Made manual winding movement which drives the hours, minutes, and small seconds. Diameter: 30 mm. Height: 2.70 mm. Jewels: 21. Frequency: 21,600 vph or 3 Hz. Power reserve: 90 hours. Movement finishing includes Geneva stripes.
Case is made from stainless steel 904L. Diameter: 39 mm. Thickness: 9.20 mm (not including crystals on both sides) and 10.80 mm (including crystals on both sides). Dial side features a curved sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating inside. Caseback side features a flat sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating inside. Crown is positioned at 4 o’clock. Water resistant up to 50 metres or 5 ATM.
Watch comes with a blue gradient navy Novo Nappa leather strap with blue aquatic lining. It is a “custom-made leather strap, designed in collaboration with Jean Rousseau.” It is fitted to a buckle made from brushed and polished stainless steel 904L – 18 mm, with “VYNTAGE” engraving. An additional black matt rubber strap is provided, fitted to a similar buckle. An easy release spring bar enables the wearer to change the strap.
Our Thoughts
Vyntage Horology continues to display immense creativity with both new editions. Having covered the Monograph Dawn, Purity Dusk, and Purity Tantonyx, I am impressed with the Monograph Blue and Purity Mosaic. The former is a superb interpretation of a chronograph with a smoked grained dial housed in a grade 5 titanium case, and the latter highlights a masterpiece of a mother-of-pearl dial. Both would be a fantastic addition in almost any watch collection.
