In August 2024, Air India introduced an in-flight entertainment service called ‘Vista’. It allows travellers to stream content on their personal devices wirelessly. The airline’s widebody fleet became the first recipient of this service, now renamed ‘Vista Stream’. However, that isn’t the actual development. What is, however, is that ‘Vista Stream’ is now available across Air India’s narrowbody fleet. That means passengers travelling within India or to nearby overseas destinations, which the single-aisle aircraft serve, can stream movies and more directly to their tablets, laptops, or mobile phones. The ’Vista Stream’ service is unavailable in the newly inducted Boeing 777s and Airbus A350s.
Those who will travel with Air India in the future will have over 1,600 hours of content to choose from. The list includes Bollywood and Hollywood flicks, documentaries, classic tunes, and programs suited for children. The new in-flight entertainment service, compatible with iOS, Android, and Windows platforms, also provides real-time tracking of the flight.
