Vietnam Airlines has launched a new, direct service between Nha Trang and Busan, further strengthening travel links between Vietnam and South Korea. The newly introduced route will be a daily affair, with one of the airline’s Airbus A321neo taking up transportation duties. The inaugural flight departed from Busan and landed at Cam Ranh International Airport on June 1, 2025, with 186 passengers.
Vietnam’s flag carrier plans to introduce or restart 15 international routes by 2025 end. One of them is a new link to South Korea, which is no surprise because in 2024, South Korea retained the top spot for Vietnam’s tourist source with 4.5 million passengers. That accounts for nearly 26 per cent of the total international arrivals into the Southeast Asian nation. Moreover, South Korean tourists represented almost 50 per cent of all overseas visitors in Khanh Hoa Province.
Vietnam Airlines operates 16 daily services between its home country and South Korea, linking cities such as Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, and Nha Trang in Vietnam, with Seoul and Busan in South Korea.
