Vietnam Airlines Has Launched Two New Routes To India

Both originate from Vietnam’s capital, Hanoi.

Within the first week of May 2025, Vietnam Airlines established two new routes to India. On May 1, it launched a direct service between Hanoi and Bengaluru. Scheduled to operate four round-trip flights weekly, the inaugural flight, VN983, departed from Noi Bai International Airport with 130 passengers on board at 19:00 and arrived at Kempegowda International Airport at 22:00. The return leg, VN982, left from Karnataka’s capital and landed in Vietnam’s capital, with more than 160 passengers, at 23:30 and 05:25 the next day, respectively. An Airbus A321 ferried passengers to and from Hanoi.

The second new route that Vietnam Airlines has planned goes live today, i.e. May 7, 2025. The flag carrier of Vietnam will link its capital with Hyderabad, the capital of the Telangana state of India. This route, scheduled to run three times weekly, will also be served aboard an Airbus A321 aircraft. Once live, Vietnam Airlines will have direct flights for four major Indian cities: Bengaluru, Hyderabad, New Delhi, and Mumbai. In total, it offers nonstop service to six cities across India.
