Rolls Royce Dawn rides into the sunset

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars signal the end of production of its Dawn convertible that boasted the British luxury marquee’s near-silent 6.6-litre, 563bhp twin-turbo V12 engine. While most convertibles called them 2+2 seaters with the rear seats good enough for children, the Rolls Royce Dawn posed as a legitimate full four-seater with individual seating for all occupants. And the Dawn wasn’t just a roof-slash job of the Wraith coupe, as 80% of the panels on the Dawn were unique. The Dawn still got the brand’s signature ‘Magic Carpet Ride’ which got substantiated when an American journalist passed through an area struck by an earthquake measuring 3.6 on the Richter scale, followed by a 2.7 aftershock in the Rolls Royce Dawn, only to get made aware of it by the following day’s morning press. Such was the legacy of the Rolls Royce Dawn. No word from Rolls Royce yet on the replacement model, but it’ll most certainly be an all-electric derivative.
