Turn An AMG A 45 S Into A Limited Edition With This Package

It costs EUR 14,280 over and above the vehicle’s price tag.

Almost anything that rolls off or slides down an assembly line with a Mercedes-AMG stamp ought to be sporty to behold and, in the case of go-fast machines, experience. Take the A 45 S 4Matic+, for example. For most, it has all the ingredients to awaken their tingly bits. But what if you want it to look even more striking and, in the process, gain a “Limited Edition” tag? Those demands are now possible with a package that ropes in “extensive additional equipment” and costs EUR 14,280 (in Germany).

The paintwork is the first unique bit. Folks over at Mercedes-AMG label it as “AMG green hell magno”. Until now, it has never been available for compact models. Raising the tempo and temperature are the matt black 19-inch forged wheels in a seven-twin-spoke pattern featuring yellow highlights. Accompanying them are black brake callipers with white AMG branding. Black foiling with yellow stripes adds to the drama, as does the unmissable “A 45 S” lettering on the doors. The AMG logo also appears on the fuel cap and projections of the puddle lamps.

In addition to AMG’s Night Package I and II, the limited edition A 45 S also boasts the Aerodynamics Package. Their inclusions mean the turbocharged car features dark-tinted windows from the B-pillar onwards, a front splitter, and ORVM caps and beltlines finished in high gloss. Adding to the character are darkened struts on the grille, black logos and lettering and a fixed AMG rear wing.

Inside, the all-black theme has been mated with contrasting yellow highlights. Man-made leather and microfibre are the primary materials used in most of the cabin. The “45 S” branding is also evidently found on the front headrests and floor mats.

The 2.0-litre turbocharged engine in the Mercedes-AMG A 45 S develops 416hp, enough to set a 3.9-second 0-100kmph sprint time. The top speed is 270kmph. And courtesy of the 4Matic+ all-wheel-drive system, little oomph goes to waste.

The package is available to order and will see its market launch in April 2024. It will remain on sale as an add-on until the end of the year.
