Three Low-Priced E-Scooters To Launch This Month In India

The first one is scheduled to arrive later this week.

The Indian market of electric two-wheelers is all set to gain three new pocket-friendly models in the month of August 2023. Their launch will not only make things more heated among rivals but also help consumers with a wider choice in a particular price bracket. Here is a quick look at them:

Ather 450S

Slated to launch on August 11, 2023, the Ather 450S is likely to come with an ex-showroom price tag of INR 1.3 lakh. That makes it noticeably less expensive than the 450X derivative, which comes with a 3.7kWh battery. The 450S will have a smaller battery, resulting in a reduced range. However, it will retain features like Bluetooth connectivity and a coloured dashboard. The claimed range is 115km, while the top speed is 90kmph.

Ola S1X

After introducing the S1 Air, which debuted with a price tag of INR 1.1 lakh, Ola Electric is all set to launch a new model – the S1X. Scheduled to launch next week on India’s Independence Day – August 15 – it is likely to cost less than INR 1 lakh ex-showroom.

Eblu FEO

Godawari Electric Motors (GEM) teased the Eblu FEO e-scooter launch in June this year. With that, the Indian EV startup also confirmed the model’s top speed of 60kmph and that it would pack a 60V 42Ah lithium-ion battery. The e-scooter, which will be available in five colours, is expected to boast a range between 110-130km on a full charge and cost around INR 1.1 lakh. All will be revealed on August 22, 2023.
