The biggest, baddest, and most luxurious Infiniti yet — the 2025 QX80 was revealed in March 2024 and went into production in June 2024. However, it was launched in the Middle East only in November 2024 at a gala event held in Dubai. As the third generation of Infiniti’s flagship SUV, the new QX80 is packed with the latest tech that’s worth taking a closer look at.
Goodbye V8, Hello Twin-Turbo V6!
The first and second generations of the Infiniti QX80 were powered by Nissan’s 5.6-litre naturally-aspirated V8 — an engine that had to be axed due to tightening emissions norms and the pursuit of efficiency. Powering the new Infiniti QX80 is an all-new VR35DDTT 3.5-litre twin-turbocharged V6 engine, shared with the all-new 2025 Nissan Patrol. It is based on the fantastic VR30DDTT twin-turbo V6 engine that powers the current-gen Nissan Z.

In the QX80, it produces an impressive 450hp and 700Nm, significantly improving upon the previous generation’s V8, which produced 400hp and 560Nm. The new V6 is paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission, replacing the previous 7-speed unit, allowing for smoother shifts, improved acceleration, and better fuel efficiency.
Infiniti has also equipped the QX80 with an advanced four-wheel-drive system featuring a transfer case with low-range gearing. For off-road enthusiasts, the new rear differential lock ensures greater traction on challenging terrain. Interested in performance numbers? The behemoth has a claimed 0-100km/h time of just 5.8 seconds and a top speed of 195km/h.
Air Suspension & Drive Modes: Supreme Ride Comfort
One of the biggest upgrades comes in the form of an electronic air suspension system. This adaptive suspension automatically adjusts to road conditions, reducing body roll and ensuring a plush ride. Infiniti has also introduced multiple drive modes, including Standard, Eco, Sport, Mud, Rock, Sand, and Personal, allowing drivers to tailor the driving experience to their needs.
Next-Generation Tech
Infiniti has completely overhauled the tech suite in the new QX80. The old 12.3-inch screen is replaced by dual 14.3-inch high-resolution displays. The INFINITI InTouch system now features Google built-in, offering seamless navigation, voice controls, and access to apps without needing a smartphone.

One of the standout innovations is the Biometric Cooling system, a first-of-its-kind feature in the segment. This technology automatically adjusts climate settings based on occupant body temperature, ensuring supreme comfort without manual intervention.
The Smart Rear View Mirror has also been enhanced, now providing clearer digital visibility even with a full cabin. Meanwhile, the Invisible Hood View and 3D Enhanced Around View Monitor improve maneuverability, giving drivers a top-down perspective of their surroundings.
Premium Klipsch Audio
Infiniti has ditched the previous Bose sound system and introduced an impressive 24-speaker Klipsch® Reference Premiere audio system. This premium setup includes 3DX Surround Sound technology and Individual Audio functionality, allowing the driver to receive navigation prompts or calls without disturbing passengers. The metal-trimmed speakers in the headrests add an extra touch of exclusivity, making this one of the best in-car audio experiences in the segment.
Comfort Like Never Before
The cabin of the QX80 is designed for first-class luxury. Infiniti has elevated interior quality with semi-aniline leather upholstery, open-pore ash wood accents, and metal inlays. The panoramic sunroof, 64-color ambient lighting, and massaging and ventilated front and rear seats further enhance the upscale experience.

Seating configurations include a 7-seat layout with captain seats for the second row or an 8-seat layout with a bench seat in the second row. Even with all three rows in use, the QX80 still provides an impressive 623 litres of cargo space.
Bolder Than Ever Before
The exterior of the new QX80 integrates Infiniti’s ‘Artistry in Motion’ design language. It features a larger grille with intricate mesh detailing, sleek LED headlights, and a new INFINITI Light Path exterior lighting system. The dark chrome accents elevate its presence, making it one of the most visually striking SUVs on the road. It rides on 22-inch alloy wheels, while the rear features a full-width LED light bar seamlessly connecting the taillights. The 2025 QX80 is longer, wider, and taller than its predecessor.

Safety & Driver Assistance
Infiniti has taken safety to new heights with ProPILOT Assist — a system that integrates adaptive cruise control and steering assistance for effortless highway driving. Additional safety features include a 360-degree camera with 3D views, 10 airbags strategically placed throughout the cabin, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), Advanced lane-keeping assist and blind-spot monitoring, Rear cross-traffic alert, and automatic emergency braking.
Variants, Pricing & Colours
The new QX80 is offered in two trims — Sensory, priced at AED 450,000, and Autograph, priced at AED 510,000. The Sensory variant offers six single-tone exterior colors and three interior color options, while the Autograph variant gets an exclusive palette of seven single and dual-tone exterior finishes.
