The New 550hp Lamborghini Temerario GT3 Is Lamborghini’s Most Advanced GT3 Car Yet

A slew of launches galore across the ongoing Goodwood Festival of Speed. Maserati launched its updated MCPura super sports car – a mature facelift to the MC20 yesterday. And now, Lamborghini has unleashed its most customer-focused and technically advanced GT3 race car to date – the Lamborghini Temerario GT3. The new Temerario GT3 earmarks itself as the first GT3 car to be fully designed, developed, and built in-house at Lamborghini’s headquarters in Sant’Agata Bolognese, Italy. The Lamborghini Temerario GT3 has been developed specifically for racing and will be ready to compete in all GT3 competitions worldwide.

Changes on the Temerario GT3 are plenty. Kicking things off with the engine – the 4.0L twin-turbo V8 from the road-going Temerario gets retained. However, the hybrid setup has been deleted while the horsepower figure is restricted to 550 hp – courtesy of GT3 competition regulations. The engine does benefit from newer turbos and compressors while featuring a flat-plane crankshaft for a better auditory experience and smoother power delivery. The sound experience will certainly be enhanced by the presence of new custom Capristo exhaust while the driver enjoys an engaging driving experience with the 6-speed racing gearbox.

A racing car transformation certainly entails lighter body and exterior elements. The same can be found on the Temerario GT3 with a new carbon fiber bodywork and a lightweight aluminum space frame, which has been borrowed from the road-going Temerario but simplified here for the racing-spec Temerario GT3. New 18-inch wheels by Ronal AG have been equipped, compatible with various tire brands.

Pit stops can be make-or-break moments in an endurance race. Hence, Lamborghini has equipped the Temerario with a removable rear subframe for quick servicing. Elements such as the bonnet, diffuser, lights can now be removed quickly. Suspension mountings have been designed in a simpler way for the mechanics to make faster and easier changes, if and when needed. The Temerario GT3 also boasts all-new 6-way adjustable KW dampers for better handling and easier tuning. A longer wheelbase and a wider track further benefits the Temerario GT3 with better cornering abilities.

On the inside, the cockpit has been designed with feedback from Lamborghini factory drivers. Hence, the Temerario GT3 gets a new custom-designed racing steering wheel with new switchgear and upgraded electronics for better data logging.

The new Lamborghini Temerario GT3 will make its debut on the racing circuits in 2026. Lamborghini claims the Temerario GT3 is the most customer-focussed GT3 car till date, designed specifically for performance, reliability and ease of service.
