The Mercedes-Benz Vision V is a new class of luxury limousines

The Vision V features an immersive lounge with a retractable 65-inch cinema screen, a 42-speaker surround sound system, and seven projectors for an immersive user experience

The Vision V represents the beginning of a new era for Mercedes-Benz Vans, redefining the concept of a private van and introducing it to the luxury segment with a special focus on the “Private Lounge.” The Vision V concept car offers a glimpse of the luxury version, embodying Mercedes-Benz Vans’ vision of combining generous space, maximum exclusivity, and an unprecedented immersive digital experience.

The Vision V’s large, automatically opening “Portal” door on the right side and its illuminated, retractable step ensure comfort and easy access to the luxurious rear lounge area. A bright, switchable glass wall separates the “Private Lounge” from the driver’s area. Upon request, the glass can be changed from transparent to opaque, either entirely or partially. The “Private Lounge” seating area is exceptionally spacious.

Vision V features crystal white Nappa leather contrasted with glossy white silk, with large decorative elements made of open-pore burl wood. A racing game console and one of 42 Dolby Atmos surround-sound speakers are integrated into the interior. Additional speakers are mounted in round glass cases on handcrafted stands that elegantly protrude from the side walls. The centre console between the two individual seats is designed as a display cabinet and a folding table. When extended, the table resembles a high-quality chessboard.

The Vision V’s seats offer first-class travel comfort. They recline to a comfortable flat position to pamper passengers. Ambient lighting and fragrance in an elegant brushed aluminium bottle behind the centre console are also available.

The Vision V’s “Private Lounge” seating area features a retractable 65-inch cinema screen under the floor. Once passengers are inside and the doors are closed, the screen expands, separating the “Private Lounge” from the cockpit. The Dolby Atmos surround sound system ensures an optimal audio experience. The system features 42 speakers, including exciting in-seat speakers. The side windows transform into additional “screens,” providing a 360-degree digital experience. The window glass can be tinted, changing from transparent to various shades of opaque in fractions of a second.

The exterior design of the Vision V represents the next step in developing Mercedes-Benz‘s unique design language of sensual purity. The sides feature a particularly narrow waistline. The taut, stretched roofline flows smoothly into the rounded rear end. There’s a striking use of chrome elements and illuminated translucent louvres. The LED lighting, visible from every angle, accentuates the car’s proportions and gives it a sense of movement, vitality, and sophistication. With the chrome-plated B-pillars’ welcome screens, this car offers a glimpse into the exclusive world of digital experiences within the interior.
