Mexico’s leading business aviation firm, Aerolíneas Ejecutivas, has inked a fresh aircraft purchase agreement with Kansas-headquartered Textron Aviation. The paperwork mentions a supply from the latter of up to 12 Cessna Citation business jets to the former. Specifically, the order comprises a mix of Latitude, CJ3 Gen2 and CJ3 Gen3 aeroplanes. Aerolíneas Ejecutivas will operate these jets in its fractional ownership division, MexJet.
MexJet has been a longtime Citation owner and operator, with its present fleet consisting of Latitude and CJ3+ planes. Four jets from the newest deal should be with Aerolíneas Ejecutivas next year: two specimens of Citation Latitude and Citation CJ3 Gen2 each.
Textron Aviation offers the Cessna Citation CJ3 Gen2 and CJ3 Gen3 aircraft with seats for nine passengers as standard. Operators can also choose an eight-seat layout, which provides extra storage space. The aircraft offer a maximum range of 2,040 nautical miles (3,778 km) while carrying a load of 2,508kg. Various creature comforts are available in the cabin, including RGB accent lighting, USB-C power at every seat, wireless charging, and executive tables.
On the other hand, the Cessna Citation Latitude from Textron Aviation with a four-passenger layout offers a range of 2,700 nautical miles (5,000 km). It can take off with a field length of 3,580 feet, just shy of 1,100 metres. The aircraft is among the roomiest in its segment, boasting a flat floor and six feet of cabin height.
