The recently concluded Monterey Car Week saw Lamborghini pull the covers off its latest few-off supercar – the new Lamborghini Fenomeno. The new Fenomeno is Lamborghini’s fastest and most powerful supercar with 1065hp and a 0-100kph sprint time of 2.4 seconds. While it has a limited production run of just 29 units with presumably all already called for, the ongoing Monaco Yacht Show suggests there might be another way to enjoy some of that Fenomeno flavour.
The Italian Sea Group presented the worldwide premiere of the new Tecnomar for Lamborghini 101FT at the ongoing Monaco Yacht Show. Named for its length of about 30 meters, the new Tecnomar for Lamborghini 101FT combines the engineering excellence of The Italian Sea Group and the distinctive design aesthetics typical of Lamborghini’s super sports cars, particularly the newly launched Fenomeno.
The exteriors draw heavy inspiration from the Lamborghini Fenomeno supercar. Elements inspired include the front and rear lights, the whole exterior lines, and even the colour – Giallo Crius, same as the launch livery. Even the Tecnomar’s helm station borrows design bits from Lamborghini’s hybrid V8 – the Temerario, with hexagons, clean lines, and ‘Y’ shape running across the interiors of the yacht. Hence, the helm of the 101FT will give the same feeling as being behind the wheel of a Lamborghini super sports car.
The yacht can accommodate up to 8-9 guests and has three crew cabins. Powering the Tecnomar for Lamborghini 101FT are three powerful engines (MTU 16V 2000 M96L) combined with three surface propellers, which make it possible to reach a top speed of 45 knots and a cruising speed of 35 knots. Total power output is rated at 7.600 horsepower with two 35 kW generators, further ensuring efficiency and reliability.
Mitja Borkert, Design Director of Automobili Lamborghini, remarked: “With the new Tecnomar for Lamborghini 101FT motoryacht, we aimed to create a product that embodies the main design characteristics of our super sports cars. All the details, from the exterior to the color, to the interior areas, recall and are inspired by Lamborghini’s DNA. Our Centro Stile, in operation for twenty years at Lamborghini’s historical headquarters in Sant’Agata Bolognese, worked with the utmost care to ensure that every element was studied in meticulous detail and reflected the brand’s unmistakable style.”
The Tecnomar for Lamborghini 101FT was showcased in a scale version at a press conference at the ongoing Monaco Yacht Show. The definitive model will set sail at the end of 2027. This isn’t the first time a Lamborghini-inspired yacht has been revealed. 2020 was the first time Lamborghini collaborated with the yacht firm to create the Tecnomar for Lamborghini 63 – inspired by the Sian supercar.
