Suzuki Hayabusa is nearly three decades old, and the current iteration of the model is in its third generation cycle. Suzuki Hayabusa once ruled the roads around the globe as the lead protagonist in the legendary speed wars. The war between manufacturers to claim the throne of the fastest motorcycle was blown so out of proportion that, leading manufacturers from Europe and Japan made an arbitrary gentlemen’s pact to end the speed wars by limiting the possible highest top speed a motorcycle could achieve in stock form.
The current-gen Peregrine Falcon from Japan produces nearly 90 bhp at 9,700 rpm and 142 Nm at 7,000 rpm from a DOHC 1,340 cc in-line four engine. This allowed the Suzuki Hayabusa to reach top speeds of nearly 186 mph and a 0-60 mph time of 2.5 seconds; more than twenty-four years on the Suzuki Hayabusa is still among the top dogs of the game – managing to hold its own amongst the new blood on the field; that have moved the bar ever so higher than what the Hayabusa set years ago, upon its arrival.

Suzuki has kept the Hayabusa updated with the modern times, adding incremental updates throughout its life cycle, enabling the Peregrine Falcon to keep up with the new kids on the block, with fresh new styling keeping up with the modern aesthetics all the while keeping the grotesque exterior that has come to be synonyms with the Hayabusa – and equipping it with modern gizmos.
The third-gen Suzuki Hayabusa is no different; in 2021 the third-gen gets some much-needed enhancements in the electronics and technical department, while the mechanical side of things stays the same as the previous-gen model. The third Gen Suzuki Hayabusa has a more aerodynamically efficient bodywork, a more modern in-house riding aid technology dubbed S.I.R.S(Suzuki Intelligent Ride System), a twin-spar aluminium frame and a fully adjustable KYB suspension to name a few notable upgrades in the third generation Hayabusa.

Suzuki Motorcycle hasn’t gone as far as the aforementioned third-generation Hayabusa, for the 2025 model update as the new upgrades are mainly limited to the visual changes- which conveys that the 2025 Suzuki Hayabusa gets three fresh new shades, which are called; Metallic Matte Green / Metallic Matte Titanium Silver, Glass Sparkle Black, and Metallic Mystic Silver / Pearl Vigor Blue. Suzuki engineers went on and improved the launch control for more linear off-the-line acceleration and made some changes to the cruise control system, which no longer deactivates when the rider shifts gear while using the quick-shifter.
It’s astonishing that this motorcycle still looks fresh & modern
