ŠKODA AUTO has unveiled its new Epiq show car, a first-of-its-kind concept for an all-electric crossover designed for urban driving. The vehicle represents a pivotal step in ŠKODA’s electric mobility strategy, focusing on combining practical design with affordability.
The Epiq features bold, minimalist design lines, along with intelligent solutions for everyday use, making it an ideal companion for modern urban living. The car also offers an advanced driving experience supported by contemporary digital technologies and intelligent assistance systems.

The car made its debut at a media workshop organised by the Volkswagen Group in Munich, ahead of the IAA International Motor Show, where it was showcased alongside several other models in the Volkswagen brand’s Urban Electric Vehicle Family (EUCF).
With the Epiq, ŠKODA aims to strengthen its presence in the electric vehicle market, particularly in the rapidly growing compact segment globally.
The EPIQ concept is 4.1 metres long, comfortably seats five passengers, offers a generous 475-litre trunk, and has a driving range of up to 425 km. The starting price of the future production model is expected to be similar to its internal combustion engine counterpart, the Kamiq, in many markets, making it the most affordable electric car in ŠKODA’s growing portfolio.
The matte Cashmere paintwork is paired with a glossy black Tech-Deck fascia, flanked by T-shaped LED daytime running lights and turn indicators. The headlights are positioned low, highlighting the powerful front bumper with its Cosmo Grey spoiler. A new Tornado line visually separates the bodywork, giving the car strong shoulders, and distinguishes the glass-fronted cabin from the rest of the vehicle, giving it a dynamic and contemporary appearance.

Inside, the EPIQ offers generous storage options and clever luggage solutions, including bag hooks, fasteners, and hidden under-floor storage. Reflecting Škoda’s “mobile first” approach, the interior design is functional and straightforward, featuring wireless phone charging, simple, clever compartments, and physical buttons and tactile scroll wheels.
The EPIQ will be built at the Volkswagen Navarra plant in Spain as part of a joint development and production project within Volkswagen Group AG (BGC). Through the EUCF initiative, BGC aims to popularise electric mobility for future generations by offering four attractive and affordable electric vehicles across three brands. The production version of the Škoda EPIQ is scheduled to make its global debut in mid-2026.
