This year, commissions for the Rolls-Royce Bespoke Collection illustrate the increasingly bold, diverse, and personal inspirations of its customers, providing the British brand with the perfect opportunity to showcase the ingenuity of its Bespoke Collection.
Customers are demanding ever more personal touches for their motor cars, creating works that are expressive in their own right and part of a broader legacy. It is a testament to the skills of the bespoke teams and the brand’s stature in the world of luxury, where customers share their dreams, trusting the bespoke team to deliver them in line with their ambitious creative vision.
As 2024 draws to a close, Rolls-Royce highlights some of the finest examples of bespoke design, having received permission from customers on selected cars to share their details with the public.
Phantom Scintilla
This collection is limited to just 10 pieces worldwide.
The interior is embroidered with 869,500 stitches to form a continuous drawing inspired by its expressive form.
This artwork consists of seven individually milled strips covered in the same ceramic finish as the Spirit of Ecstasy. Above, the bespoke Starlight headliner features an animation of 1,500 fibre-optic ‘stars’ inspired by the Spirit of Ecstasy’s flowing gown.
Cullinan Series II – Inspired by the Rose
This commission was inspired by the Phantom Rose, which grows in the courtyard of the Home of Rolls-Royce in Goodwood and nowhere else in the world. It was bred specifically for Rolls-Royce, translated into delicate embroidery on the front and rear headrests, and incorporated into the meticulously hand-painted Coachline.
Phantom Goldfinger
Rolls-Royce has created this meticulously detailed tribute to the 1937 Phantom III Sedanca de Ville of the same name to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the James Bond film Goldfinger. Bespoke specialists have recreated the original car’s iconic black and yellow finish with innovative features that reference pivotal scenes from the movie.
Spectre Lunaflair
Inspired by the optical phenomenon of the Moon’s halo, where moonlight reflects through ice crystals at high altitudes to form a bright ring around the Moon, Spectre Lunaflair was commissioned by a discerning client from the USA.
Another Bespoke masterpiece, the one-of-a-kind Phantom Syntopia, partly inspired the concept of Spectre Lunaflair.
Ghost Extended Series II
This magnificent Ghost Extended Series II was commissioned to celebrate the 120th anniversary of the founders’ meeting on 4 May 1904. The celebratory car features numerous references to Sir Charles Stewart Rolls and Henry Royce, including their initials embroidered on the headrests and their signatures on the C-pillar.
Phantom year of the dragon
This exceptional Phantom Extended has been created to celebrate the Lunar New Year, which begins on 10 February 2024; in a beautiful example of the growing trend of blending international heritage with Chinese cultural traditions, known as Guo Chao, the interior features carefully crafted details inspired by the traditional dragon symbol. It was commissioned through a private office in Shanghai.
