An immersive concept of fragrance

Composed by the Bespoke Collective’s Master Perfumer, Scent of Rolls-Royce is an elegant, long-lasting experience designed to complement the rich aromas of the materials used in Rolls-Royce motor cars and delivered using patented technology.

The first fragrance combines notes of Amyris, cedarwood, Rosewood, and iris and promotes a deep, multi-sensory connection that goes beyond the visual and the tactile, embodying and elevating the tranquillity of the Rolls-Royce experience.

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars takes the experience of its interiors to a new sensory dimension with the launch of Rolls-Royce Scent, introduced in its flagship, Phantom.

Attention to detail is given to the design, engineering, and creation of every Rolls-Royce, including the fragrances experienced in the car, which are among the most experienced in a Rolls-Royce.

When a new Rolls-Royce model is launched, a specialist department within the brand is consulted. This department comprises experts trained in sectors ranging from biochemistry to fine perfumery when selecting leathers, woods, wools, and other tactile surfaces. This includes the materials used to enhance and protect them, such as lacquers and pigments. These specialists ensure that each material represents the best of its kind. The result is a sophisticated blend of scents within the car’s interior collection, characterised by a rich leather flavour.

The Rolls-Royce Scent has been designed to enrich the sensory experience inside the car. Cedarwood adds a soothing, subtle complexity, Rosewood adds a slightly sweet, dry flavour, and Orris provides a floral yet earthy quality, complemented by the smoky, woody notes of amaryllis. The fragrance has been tested as a blend of soft, precious notes, richness, and depth, effortlessly embodying the qualities of the car.

A fragrance delivery system has been developed for the Rolls-Royce Scent. A patented diffuser structure ensures that the fragrance is released in precise doses for a long-lasting and sophisticated sensory experience.

The fragrance was analysed under static and dynamic conditions to ensure that the Scent delivered a consistent experience to the brand’s global client base. Specialists devoted considerable time to perfecting the precise dosage of fragrance to be placed in the diffuser system, balancing longevity with precision. More than 30 iterations were developed before in-house experts were satisfied that the fragrance would meet the demands of Rolls-Royce’s discerning clientele.
