Richard Mille introduces their first women’s Sports watches
The RM07-04 comes in six colour variants with exclusive materials, making it a lightweight women's sports watch.
Richard Mille has been making watches since 1999. They have made some exceptional watches for high-performing athletes like Rafael Nadal, Kimi Raikkonen and Gerry Lester “Bubba” Watson Jr., to name a few. But they have just made a women’s sports watch.
Presenting the Richard Mille RM07-04. The RM07-04 range of watches are smaller than other Richard Mille models. All of the RM07-04 measure 30.50mm x 44.95mm x 10.35mm in size and weighs just about 36 grams, including the fabric Velcro strap. This lightweight construction is possible thanks to the case material, Carbon TPT, which is resistant to UV light and hypoallergenic. Carbon TPT is essentially layers of carbon fibre filaments organized into sheets that are then saturated in special resins before being pressed into shape using high temperatures (120C) and pressures (6 bar). Due to the process of creating the case, it produces unique patterns, so no two RM07-04 are the same.
You will find the self-winding calibre CRMA8 movement inside the watch with 50 hours of power reserve. This skeletonized movement shows us the time and features a function selector, a feature seen on newer Richard Mille watches. A pusher below the crown controls what the crown does when being interacted with. You can choose between setting the time, winding the watch and neutral, which is disconnected from the movement entirely. The movement took Richard Mille three years to develop.
The baseplate and bridges are made of grade 5 titanium, which is very difficult to machine but is super lightweight. A free-sprung balance with variable inertia and transparent incabloc shock protection helps the watch withstand forces up to 5000G. The rotor is made out of platinum for more efficient winding. The RM07-04 is water resistant to 50m.
You can choose from six colours: black, salmon pink, cream white, dark blue, green or Mauve. Each watch comes with a contrasting fabric Velcro strap. The Richard Mille RM07-04 will be priced at CHF167,000 or $185,000.
