Patek Philippe launches 8 new watches

Patek Philippe took note of the Halloween season and surprised us with eight new models, including three new Nautilus iterations.

Today, Patek Philippe unveiled eight significant new watches. Three new models focus on the legendary Nautilus collection, while the other models include the Aquanaut and their chronograph lineup.

Nautilus Ref. 5811/1G-001

Ref. 5711A was an iconic steel watch with a blue dial in the Nautilus collection. The Ref. 5711A became quite popular among collectors, which kept pushing up its price. Though it ended with President Thierry Stern discontinued the Ref. 5711A.

Presenting the spiritual successor to the iconic watch, this new Ref. 5811 looks almost exactly like the discontinued Ref. 5711A with some key differences. Most notably, it is made out of 18K white gold instead of stainless steel. It will retail for $69,785, double the price of the stainless steel model. It is also slightly larger (41mm) than Ref. 5711 (40mm). The bracelet has also been improved with a fold-over clasp. The length can be adjusted by 2mm or 4mm by using the new lockable adjustment system.

Rose-Gold Nautilus

Along with the white gold Ref. 5811, Patek Philippe also launched two new rose-gold models. The first Ref. 7118/1300R-001, a jewelry model with a multicoloured spessartite on the bezel in an autumn-inspired ombré motif.

The second model is the Ref. 5712/1R-001, which gets small seconds, date, moon phase, and a power-reserve indicator. Both of these models will retail for $82,796.

Nautilus Steel Chronograph

If you really wanted a Nautilus in steel, then you will love the new Ref. 5990/1A-011. This steel chronograph has a similar gradient blue dial to the Ref. 5711A, but it gets three complications: the flyback chronograph, Patek Philippe’s signature Travel-Time function that helps you see two time zones simultaneously, and a date function. The day-night indicator for local and home time flank the subdials on the left and right. The subdials are neatly placed at the 12 o’clock and 6 o’clock positions. Due to its complications, the watch is priced at $68,603.

Lefty chronograph and Perpetual Calendar

The new Ref. 5373P-001 is the first left-hander chronograph in Patek Philippe’s recent history. This Platinum cased watch gets the calibre CHR-27-525 PS Q, the thinnest split-seconds chronograph movement with a perpetual calendar ever built. The perpetual calendar shows you the date, month, and a moon phase without having to reset or adjust for every leap year. Since this watch is made for left-handed people to use the chronograph comfortably, the crown and monopusher are located at the 9 o’clock position instead of the 3 o’clock position and the split seconds pusher is located at the 8 o’clock position instead of the 4 o’clock.

This watch has a very sporty look with a black dial, and the straps come with red accents. It will be produced in a limited number, and the price is available on request.

Righty chronograph and Perpetual calendar

Like the previously mentioned left-hander Ref. 5373P-001, the new Ref. 5204G-001 is the right-hander version. It also combines the split-seconds chronograph with a perpetual calendar but for right-handers and comes in white-gold instead of Platinum. The watch gets an elegant olive green sunburst dial with a matching strap. The price is available on request.

Chronograph and world time

Patek Philippe is known for their stunning world-time watches with enamel paintings or guilloche motifs in the center. The new Ref. 5935A-001 gets an automatic movement that combines a world timer with a flyback chronograph. The dial has a rose-gold colour for the city disks and a geometric guilloche motif. This model will retail for $63,871.

Aquanaut Luce Chronograph

Finally, the all-new Aquanaut Luce women’s collection. This new watch gets its first chronograph, the company’s first women’s automatic chronograph too. This Ref. 7968/300R-001 Aquanaut Luce “Rainbow” is a flyback chronograph. The large 60-minute counter is located at the 6 o’clock position and there is a discreet seconds scale around the circumference of the mother-of-pearl dial.

The new Aquanaut Luce Chronograph features a double gem-set bezel: an outer ring of baguette-cut colored sapphires and an inner ring of baguette-cut diamonds. It gets a rose-gold case and comes with three straps: red, beige and white. It will retail for $212,904
