What is the new Parmigiani Fleurier Tonda PF Platinum Anniversary Trilogy?
The Tonda PF Platinum Anniversary Trilogy celebrates Parmigiani Fleurier’s 30th anniversary. Each of the three Tonda PF models feature a horological world first and are crafted in 950 platinum. They include the Tonda PF GMT Rattrapante Platinum (top left), Tonda PF Minute Rattrapante Platinum (top centre) and Tonda PF Chronographe Mystérieux Platinum (top left). Limited to 30 pieces each, they are available individually or as a set.
Platinum is “among the rarest and most demanding metals to work, it requires a high level of mastery. Its density, resistance and stability make it a lasting material. Nearly ten tonnes of ore are required to produce thirty grams of metal, a reality that places each piece within a form of tangible rarity.”
Tonda PF GMT Rattrapante Platinum
The GMT Rattrapante is a dual time watch. The rose gold home-time hour hand remains concealed beneath the rhodium-plated local-time hour hand, appearing only on demand, “then disappears instantly, restoring the purity of the dial. Local time remains central, stable, and uninterrupted.”
Functions: Hours, minutes and dual time. Dial: Crafted from 950 platinum with a sandblasted finish. The hands are delta-shaped and skeletonised. Hour and minute hands are made from rhodium-plated 18K gold. Home-time hand is made from 18K rose gold. Applied hour-markers are made from rhodium-plated 18K gold.
Case: Crafted from 950 platinum with a polished and satin-finish. Knurled bezel is crafted from 950 platinum. Measures 40 mm (diameter) * 10.7 mm (thickness). Tonda PF Minute Rattrapante Platinum
The Minute Rattrapante measures short intervals on demand, until then the minute rattrapante hand remains concealed beneath the minute hand. “A discreet hand appears on demand, tracks the elapsed minutes, then returns to merge with the primary hand and disappear.”

Tonda PF Chronographe Mystérieux Platinum
The Chronographe Mystérieux is a monopusher chronograph that resembles a classic three-hand watch. The hands that are visible belong to the chronograph function; minute counter and hour counter without actual traditional counters, and the chronograph central seconds hand. The actual hour and minute hands – made from 18K rose gold – are concealed beneath the chronograph hands. Together they move in unison and indicate the time. Once the monopusher at 7.30 is activated, the hour and minute hands appear, continuing to indicate the time, whereas the chronograph hands – central seconds, minutes and hours begin their measurements.
