ORIS unveils the new Big Crown Pointer Date Calibre 403

Oris, the Hölstein, Switzerland, based watchmaker has unveiled the new Big Crown Pointer Date Calibre 403. It is the flagship edition of the brand’s new Big Crown Pointer Date models launched during Watches and Wonders 2025. The Big Crown Pointer Date was originally introduced in 1938.

Functions: Centre hours, minutes, and pointer date. Small seconds subdial at 6 o’clock. Stop-seconds function.

Available in a green or terracotta dial. Hour and minute hands, Arabic numerals, and hour-markers are coated with Super-LumiNova.

Powered by Oris calibre 403, an automatic movement that drives the hours, minutes, seconds, date, and stop-seconds function. Diameter: 30 mm or 13 ¼ lignes. Jewels: 24. Frequency 28,800 vph or 4 Hz. Power reserve: 120 hours. Accuracy: -3 / + 5 seconds a day (within COSC criteria). Movement is highly antimagnetic.

Multi-piece case is made from stainless steel. Diameter: 40 mm. Thickness: 12.30 mm. Lug to lug distance: 47.50 mm. Dial side features a sapphire crystal, domed on both sides, with anti-reflective coating on the inside. Stainless steel caseback is screwed to the main case and features a sapphire crystal. Water resistant up to 5 bar.

The watch is available with a brown Cervo Volante sustainable deer leather strap, fitted to a stainless steel folding clasp, or with a multi-piece stainless steel bracelet, fitted to an Oris-developed folding clasp.
