Oris launches a new version of the Divers Sixty-Five date

Oris has launched the Divers Sixty-Five Date Cotton Candy “White Star,” based on the brand’s Cotton Candy series of bright colour dial bronze watches. It features a pure white dial, and it’s 38 mm case, bezel, crown, and bracelet are crafted from bronze. It is powered by Oris 733-1, an automatic movement.

Functions

Central hours, minutes, and seconds. Date at 6 o’clock.

Quick set date via the crown at 3 o’clock. Stop-second function for precise time setting.

Dial

White dial. Hour, minute, and lollipop-shaped seconds hands are coated with Super-LumiNova® (for the seconds hand, only the circular “lollipop” part towards its tip). The 11 applied hour-markers are coated with Super-LumiNova®. Outer dial features a minute track, graduated in increments of 5 minutes.

Case and Bracelet

Multi-piece case made of bronze. Unidirectional rotating bezel with relief engraved minutes scale made of bronze. Case diameter 38 mm or 1.496 inches. Dial side features a sapphire crystal, domed on both sides with anti-reflective coating inside. Stainless steel caseback, screwed to the main case, features special engravings. Screw-in crown at 3 o’clock made of bronze. Water resistant up to 10 bar / 100 metres. Interhorn or strap width 19 mm. Multi-piece bracelet made of bronze, with folding clasp.

Movement

Powered by Oris 733-1, an automatic movement which drives the hours, minutes, seconds, instantaneous date, and stop-second function. According to online sources, it is based on Sellita SW200-1. Diameter 25.60 mm or 11 ½ lignes . 26 jewels. Frequency 28,800 vph or 4 Hz. Power reserve 41 hours. 

Our Thoughts

A simple three-hander with date, featuring a pure white dial with a bronze case and bracelet. A beautiful combination, one that I really like. Based on the images, the Divers Sixty-Five Date Cotton Candy “White Star” looks a great deal more expensive that it is.
