Novitec Makes The MC20 Produce 701Bhp

The tuner has also optimised driving dynamics and thermal efficiency.

All Maserati MC20 owners, pay attention as Novitec has some news for you. The German tuning house has introduced a range of options for your beloved low-slung sportscar. And getting them could make a huge difference. The list includes more power from the V6, personalised interiors, enhanced driving dynamics and optimised aerodynamics.

The engine first, because that’s always more fun! Novitec takes the 2.9-litre V6, boosted by two turbochargers, and introduces plug-and-play N-Tronic modules. Those tweaked the electronic engine control and introduce special maps for injection, boost pressure control and ignition. Then there are options for the exhaust systems, which also optionally come with active sound management and 999 fine gold plating for better heat dissipation. The outlets can be carbon or stainless pipes spanning 10cm in diameter.

All that results in an increment of 80bhp/88Nm, as the powerplant’s output goes up to 701bhp/818Nm. Novitec claims a 0-100kmph sprint time of 2.8 seconds and 0-200kmph in 8.4 seconds. The top speed is over 325kmph.

To improve aerodynamics and keep the car planted at speed, Novitec has added a few components made from naked carbon with high-gloss sealant. The tweaked lip spoiler reduces front-axle lift, while the ducktail rear spoiler offers more downforce. To complement those additions, the Novitec Maserati MC20 dons naked carbon inserts on the front bonnet and on the air deflector elements for the air intakes at the rear.

For the wheels, Novitec teamed up with the American brand Vossen. They feature five twin-spokes, spanning 20 inches at the front and 21 at the rear. The larger rims also sport fatter rubber, stretching 325mm in width with 25mm in wall height. Another option is to equip the sportscar with Novitec sport springs, which drop the car by 25mm and improve handling. And the tuner is also offering complete sets of exclusive interior upgrades in any colour, made from leather or Alcantara.
