New Cadillac XT4 Lands In The Middle East By Year End

Besides a tweaked exterior, the SUV gains technology upgrades.

Good news, Cadillac fans! Your favourite brand has taken the wraps off the 2024 XT4. Besides a refreshed exterior design, the SUV gains technology upgrades, new interior colour and trim options, and an enhanced list of safety and driver assistance systems. And like before, it will be available in three trim levels: Luxury, Premium, and Sport.

On the outside, the refreshed XT4 boasts sleeker headlamps and DRLs and a tweaked grille design finished in deep gloss black. The Premium Luxury derivative ropes in exclusive wheels, grille, fascia, roof rails and side body accents. Similarly, the 2024 XT4 gets a differentiated look in the Sport spec. Cadillac has also lined up a new set of 18- and 20-inch alloy wheel designs for the SUV. Also, there are three new metallic colour options for the exterior – Emerald Lake, Midnight Sky and Deep Sea.

Indoors, the 33-inch 9K-ready LED display is the main attraction. And yes, it is reminiscent of what we saw in the Lyriq EV. The massive screen incorporates a digital instrument cluster and the infotainment system, the control centre for the vehicle’s various connectivity features. Also, in addition to wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, the new system packs several Google applications, such as Google Assistant and Google Maps. Last but not least, the new XT4 will be available with a 13-speaker AKG sound system.

The interior ambience is uplifted with brushed aluminium elements, complemented by embroidery patterns on the seats. In Luxury trim, the XT4 features classic Piano Black trim with laser etching, whereas the Premium Luxury introduces genuine wood or aluminium inserts (colour dependent). In Sport form, the SUV ropes in authentic carbon fibre or wood trim, again depending on the interior colour.

The 2024 XT4 comes with the Cadillac Smart System as standard. That means features like Blind Zone Steering Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Braking, Lane Keep Assist and Front Pedestrian and Bicyclist Braking are part of the package. The Premium Luxury and Sport variants get Cadillac’s Active Safety Package. That brings in Adaptive Cruise Control, HD Surround Vision, Rear Pedestrian Alert, New Intersection Automatic Emergency Braking, Reverse Automatic Braking and more into the mix.

Powering the XT4 will be the proven 2.0-litre turbocharged engine that offers 235hp/349Nm, while a 9-speed automatic handles transmission duties. The oomph goes to all four wheels, and the active fuel management helps improve the mileage.

The 2024 Cadillac XT4 goes on sale in the USA in the summer of this year. The Middle East, on the other hand, will get it by the end of 2023.
