Footwear and apparel manufacturer, New Balance has unveiled the 2025 Made in USA 1300JP this May during ‘Grey Days.’ Dropped only once every five years, this legendary, fetching style is prized for its rarity, top-tier craftsmanship, and iconic status in global sneaker culture.
The original 1300, released in 1985, was celebrated for merging technological innovation with premium materials. Featuring full-length ENCAP cushioning and a nubuck-mesh build, it was said to redefine “luxury running shoes” in the public’s eye. Despite its high price, it gained popularity—especially in Japan—where it became a symbol of status and craftsmanship. Sneaker enthusiasts admired its meticulous construction, including hand-stitched details and subtle irregularities. Cult-like demand for the original 1300 led to the 1300JP reissue in 1995. Honouring New Balance’s heritage, it’s been re-released every five years since. Its rarity, authentic appeal, premium materials, and meticulous craftsmanship continue to captivate both fashion and sneaker culture with each limited drop.

The Made in USA 1300JP launches during Grey Days on May 29, 2025, for AED 1349. It will be available regionally on NewBalance.co.ae and at all New Balance stores across the UAE. For those who don’t know, Grey Days, starting 1 May 2025, is an annual celebration featuring product drops, events, and storytelling around the brand’s signature colour.
