MING launches 37.08 SAND at Dubai Watch Week !

An Accessible and Vibrant Time-Only Watch.

Dubai Watch Week: 16th – 20th November 2023.

Horologer Ming is much more than a microbrand. It is a ‘phenomenon’ that has taken the horological world by storm. MING, (as it is known), was founded by six watch lovers and collectors from around the world. Their leader is Ming Thein, a well-known photographer, designer, business strategist, and watch lover. MING has its roots in Malaysia, and Switzerland. They have gone from strength to strength during the past several years.

A Dubai Watch Week launch, the 37.08 Sand, a time-only watch, is in MING’s own words ‘a little more fun and playful’, and ‘enter the first in a new series of accessible, deep-relief textured watches, the 37.08 Sand’.  Its dial is inspired by ‘seabed ripples in the shallow, calm water just before the tide line; golden sun on windblown powder; flying over the desert. It can be whatever you want it to be – and further reinforced by whichever strap you choose to pair it with.’

The Sand 37.08 adds vibrancy, in terms of both colour and playfulness, to the 37-series family on which it is based. Ming Thien himself developed the dial using 3D Computer Aided Design (CAD), after studying photos of dunes, waves, and wave propagation theory.

The Sand 37.08 has a 316L stainless steel case, with a case diameter of 38 mm and case thickness of 10.99 mm. It is powered by Sellita for MING SW210.M1, a manual winding movement with 40 hours power reserve. The movement is visible through a sapphire caseback.

The MING 37.08 is a 500 pieces edition and priced at CHF 3950.
